Conspiracy theories not with standing it doesn’t take much for thought to connect the dots and feel that there is something afoot in the aftermarket in regards to tightening restrictions on manufacturers of internal engine components, exhaust systems and tuner and tuning licenses.
The EPA has already sent a round of “cease and desist” letters to companies that many and sell tuners and licenses. This much we know. There are also [confirmed] rumors that individuals employed at one company have also received threatening letters on federal letterhead warning of [personal] fines up to $1,000,000 if individual’s continue to offer tech support!
Shop owners, manufacturers and retail customers are all in the EPA’s crosshairs.
The purpose of the dialogue will be to engage, inform and align our position in the industry and to begin discussions at the grass-roots level as to where we are headed as a whole
