Duwane Simons went to victory lane in the 6 pm B-Open at Michigan International Speedway after qualifying in 12th place and working his way through the field to lead nine laps out of 65! Duwane showed the setups long-run speed by pulling away to a monster six second lead by the time he crossed the finish-line!

What a season it was in the Coast2Coast Racing League for WGR. First wins, to podiums, drama, new drivers... It was all there. Here's how the boys at WGR finished out the season.

CARS Tour:
Cullen Johnston - 4th place (1 win, 5 top 5s, 9 top 10s)
Brandon Ish - 5th place (1 win, 3 top 5s, 8 top 10s)

Xfinity Series:
Cullen Johnston - 2nd place (4 top 5s, 8 top 10s)

WGR would like to shout out and congratulate the newest member to the WGR Family, Jason Hand. Last night Jason debuted in his first Coast2Coast Racing League race. Not only did he get the pole in his first race, he also won his first race by completing a 3 wide pass on the last lap to take the checkered!

Cullen Johnston leads 67 of 75 laps + OT to win at a caution filled Coast2Coast Racing League LMSC Race at Lanier! This is Cullen's first win in C2C and the 2nd win overall for the WGR boys in the Cars Tour. 3rd win overall as an organization within the league. Pretty good considering they just joined the league less than a year ago!

Today marks Team Watson Racing's two year anniversary! We became a setup shop in the middle of last year but a lot of people don't know that the team started up long before that! We are so proud of the growth that we have had and we can't wait to see what year three holds!

Round 1 of the Coast2Coast Racing League NASCAR XFINITY SERIES is in the books and it was a show! WGR led 38/100 laps and Duwane Simons led 31/100 which was the most laps led. Did we mention he also started on the pole? Did we also mention that he won the race?!?

His first career win came the same night his first career pole occurred! Let's not forget about Cullen Johnston, Cullen proved to be the ultimate teammate and pushed Duwane high, low, middle, around lapped cars coming to the checkered. Cullen Johnston finished P2. Let's also not forget Brandon Ishkanian, who got caught up in two wrecks still managed to be right there with the boys finishing P4. Honorary WGR driver Dustyn Reinstettle finishes P5. THAT 4 OF THE 5 DRIVERS REPPING WGR ALL FINISHING IN THE TOP 5. Talk about a display dominance and teamwork.

Brandon Ishkanian took the Team Watson Racing Setups , Garrett Manes Racing for Autism Chevy to virtual Iowa and took the W. Leading 99/150 laps and finishing 9 seconds ahead of 2nd place. Car is a rocket!

*Long Post Alert*

This past weekend, the Bottom Split Heroes took the the high banks of Virtual Daytona USA.

After a chaotic test run Friday evening, the boys decided, 2am Satuday morning they were going to tackle the Endurance race.

Newcomer to the team, Dan McLaren started the team in P3 and ran the stints of the race, then Jason Hand, then Cullen Johnston. It was at this time, that flashbacks would kick in. Cullen decided to check out the tire barrier coming on to the Nascar oval, got too close, and the front bumper fell off. (P12)

No worries, Brandon Ishkanian jumped in the car and got some repairs, took the car on track and decided to take off. Brandon knocks out his stints and in the process he makes some friends on the track (seriously check out Loopy Racing on YouTube). (P14)

After Brandon's stint Dan takes over and keeps the boys in contention, nothing crazy happens during the stint, Dan drives like the mad man he is and life is good. (P9)

Jason Hand takes over around lap 315 and knocks out 58 laps and all is well. (P7) Then Dan jumps back in and gets the boys up to P5 (clearly he's faster than the rest of us.) Brandon takes over after Dan, keeps P5 on lock.

This is where it gets fun, Dan drives from P5 to P3 setting the fastest lap of the race for the team and puts the team in a Podium position. Dan gets out the car, leaves his home to go Smoke some Moose, his stints are done (or is it?). (P3)

Cullen gets back in, knocks out some laps (and cuts some grass in the 1st horse shoe. Then it's TJ (BSH are holding their breath, remember the test session, it's cause TJ couldn't keep the car on track for 60 laps, bless his heart.) Tj drives like he owns the car (he does thats how he raced with us), minor blemishes (cuts the grass in T1). At this point, if you've made it this far, we have 8hrs left, Brandon's bored.... he starts iRacing Karaoke and Trivia Night.... and it's a hit! (P5)

Jason takes over, stays on pace, then Brandon (who's plan is to knock out the last 2hrs 30mins) (P5)

*ding d**g* Is Dan back!?!?! Dan's back....Dan you're finishing this out...

Dan comes in, runs the remaining 30mins of the 24hrs, BSH Finishes P4.

We had a blast this year and we can't wait to do it again!!!

With a little bit of strategy and a whole Lotta luck, all four drivers from WGR have made the cut to stay in Coast2Coast Racing League main division... now we can focus on finishing out the season strong

Brandon ran the Roar before the iRacing 24hrs at Daytona this morning. Started from the pits (so last), finished P18 of 49 cars and finished P6 in the Touring Car class. First ever endurance race. Next week, its the full 24hrs with the boys at Replacements Racing League. Thank you to Seb Kinder for spotting and being on the box for the race.
