LPU-Batangas inks partnership with Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) and Silver Peak Group of Companies (SPGC) for Sustainable Livelihood Program

The Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU-B) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) and Silver Peak Group of Companies (SPGC) on November 14, 2024, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort for a community extension project focused on livelihood and skills development through the Sanayan sa Kakayahang Industriyal (SKIL) program.

Dr. Alex D. Ylagan (Director of Community Extension) and Dr. Ryan L. Mejia (Dean of the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management), represented the university at the signing, joined by Mr. Sherwin Yap (Director for Programs of PSFI) and Ms. Maria Teresa Kate Torino (HR Manager of SPGC), who expressed their commitment to supporting sustainable livelihood opportunities for communities in Batangas.

This partnership advances the collective goal of creating lasting social impact through education, skills development, and community empowerment, aligning with LPU-B’s mission to foster both student and community growth.

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Sherwin B. Cabillo, a proud alumnus of the Doctor of Dental Medicine program, Batch 2009, for being one of the honorees of The Filipino Times Watchlist: Top Healthcare Professionals in the Middle East 2024!

Dr. Sherwin B. Cabillo is a General Dentist with 15 years of experience specializing in Orthodontics. He served as the Medical Director at Klinika Dental Clinic in Dubai and was the first Filipino dentist at NMC Specialty Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Currently, he practices his expertise at Palmira Specialized Medical Center in Abu Dhabi.
