🚨Abdi Guyo: First MCA to Ascend to Governor Seat in Kenya Election History

♦️Nairobi Majority Leader Abdi Hassan Guyo has clinched the Isiolo governor seat, becoming the first Kenyan MCA to be elected county boss since the advent of devolution in 2013.

♦️The Jubilee candidate, who was endorsed by outgoing governor Mohamed Kuti as his preferred successor, trounced former Governor Godana Doyo after garnering 28,926 votes in the hotly contested race.

BREAKING: Isiolo Gubernatorial Aspirant Guyo Kayole Reportedly Clinches the Highly Crucial Jubilee Ticket

This now leaves his closest competitor Godana Doyo no option but to run on an independent ticket.

The Jubilee Party reportedly disqualified Doyo's bid because of the active graft cases facing him at the Kenyan law courts.

The Party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta had earlier vowed that individuals with active graft cases in court will not be allowed to vie on the party's ticket.

Running on an independent ticket requires one to have a sizable war chest of their own and with Doyo's 'not very healthy financial position', a source tells us his(Doyo's) gubernatorial bid is ''effectively doomed''.

Sources: Doyo Set to Flee to Wiper as Gov. Kuti Stands Ground for the Jubilee Party Ticket

Governor Kuti is said to be one step away from flying the Jubilee party ticket as he seeks a second gubernatorial term in the upcoming August elections.
Reliable sources have informed ICBNews that Godana Doyo, who intends to unseat the incumbent is in talks with Wiper Democratic Movement's officials about running for the seat on the party's ticket.

Doyo, who had earlier shown confidence that he will be in the race with the Jubilee party ticket, has reportedly been 'demoralized' after Governor Kuti made it known that he was ready for the primaries battle if needed, promptly paying the nomination fees required for any gubernatorial candidate which amounts to Kes 400k.

Doyo had earlier reportedly implored the President through a senior Kenyatta administration official from Isiolo to 'grant him a direct ticket' which the President reportedly rejected following intervention by party officials according to a source close to the matter.

Sources say Gov. Kuti could be granted the ticket as early as tonight but not later than tomorrow.

We shall keep you up-to-date on how the situation regarding party tickets pan out.

Sad Day in Merti as Two Young Men Die at the Hands of Bandits

The two were travelling from the Kom-Durte gold mine when they were accosted by gunmen around Lakole-Dogogicha area who shot them to death and made away with their motorbike.

Rufas Tiya(Birth name-Rufo) ventured into Oromo/Borana music just about a year ago.

BCE Favourite Odha Loses the Crucial Clan Endorsement as 'Banker' Heads to the Ballot

The Digallu-Mattari clan which has been convening since Jan 13 have failed to endorse any candidate after Abdi Godana(Banker)'s(pictured right) mounted a heavy opposition to the endorsement of the incumbent Isiolo North legislator Hassan Odha as the clan's flag bearer and potential endorsee of BCE.

Banker, as he is commonly known to many has now made it clear that he will be on the ballot at a rally held earlier this afternoon at Merti with his supporters also putting on a show in Isiolo in solidarity.

BCE is now at crossroads over their previous intent to endorse Hassan Odha once his clan unveils him as their flag bearer.
"We have made it clear as Digallu-Mattari fraternity that Odha will not be our flag bearer, if they choose to pick him, we shall not be a party to that," said a DM youth leader who did not wish to be named while speaking to an ICBNews correspondent who was on the scene.
