"I got a look at the board they recovered, hon." Brian pulled the shell-like barbs from his pocket, and held them out toward Joyce in his palm. "How many sharks you know could write "SOON" on a surfboard with these?" Joyce took one of the barbs and began to examine it. "And they never found a body, just a bloody board tether," he added. "Something's going on that just doesn't add up. I feel like a real mushroom."
