You can spend the rest of your life running around trying to beat the outside world into the shape you want, chasing one problem after another trying to fix them, complaining about situations or other people, and never succeed in living your life to the fullest and realizing all of your dreams. But when you make the magic of gratitude your way of life, everything in the world around you magically changes – just like that. I have really been enjoying reading and doing the daily practices with the book "The Magic" that I have been posting about over the past month! I can honestly say that it has completely changed the way that I view and think about things everyday. I have always been a grateful person, but it's way more than just saying thank you to someone for being kind or doing something for me. Excited to be finishing it over the next 8 days and having a forever changed mindset and a grateful heart!

Hello and welcome to my new page! I am Kathy Nagel, a mother of 3 and wife of an Air Force veteran. I thought I would give a short bio of myself and my wanting to create this page.

I was born in 1971 and grew up in South Carolina. Married my husband in 1995 who was then in the military for the next 22 yrs. We lived all over the world, from Guam to Germany, to New Mexico and Alaska. Then he retired in 2017 and we currently reside in sunny Florida.

Fast forward to October of 2021 and sadly my father passed away with Metastatic Colorectal Adenocarcinoma. We lost him suddenly and unexpectedly only a couple of months after his diagnosis.

Now that I was potentially at a higher risk for colon cancer at the age of 50, I began thinking of what changes I could make to be healthier than I was, so to possibly avert any future health issues. I want to be around for as long as I can for my kids and future grandchildren

In the past, I would try to choose what I thought were healthier options with food, but I didn't know what I didn't know. Not only is our food much different today than it was growing up in the 70's and 80's, there are so many items I used in my everyday life from skin care to cleaning products that were actually very toxic.

This page is just a way of me sharing things I have learned along with how I am currently making changes in my everyday life to benefit my mind, body and soul.
