Ikapa Lodumo Film Festival is a festival that gives local and upcoming film makers the opportunity to submit and be part of the festival through showcasing their work and a platform to attend workshops in bettering their filmmaking skills.

The idea of iKapa lodumo came after seeing the struggles of shooting a film there after having no place to showcase or submit your work,& social media doesn't give back to local filmmakers but ikapa lodumo is about uplifting strengthening & giving hope to those who are helpless,
With the main aim is to keep this film festival happening every year by sustaining itself.

This film festival will give chance to Western Cape filmmakers to submit Short films. Out of all the films have been submitted a selected 10 shortfilms will be selected to feature their films and be part of the 10 days

3 phases of the film festival

This festival will give chance local artist to showcase their talent on during the opening of the festival performances will happen

Then then welcoming of our participants & guests
Screening the first film then discussions will take place

Last phase is workshop which will assist our participants to learn more in the field of filmmaking.

The festival will culminate an awards evening on the last day of the film festival

All 10 Participants will be awarded with a Gold certificate for participating
Also cash prices & trophies will be awarded to those will choosen in those best actors categories.

Dates for submissions will be announced end of June thank you..

Ikapa lodumo film festival will showcase full-length features, short films and film in any genre around Capetown film maker's film. Basically our missions of the festival is to provide the youth and independent film maker with a platform to showcase their talent.
