Good Times Day Breakfast is just 2 weeks away 😱

This is a reminder that Saturday July 1st we are hosting a breakfast & if you help us have a success then we will do another breakfast in August & possibly more 🥳

Firefighters from Four County’s were all hands on deck in many roles for a blaze that ripped through a old farm house.
Annapolis Royal Fire was dispatched shortly after 1800hrs of Dec 23 for a reported chimney fire along Shore Road West in Hillsburn, Annapolis County, Thursday Evening.
Upon arrival it was determined they had a working residential structure fire and automatic mutual aid was dispatched from neighbouring departments.
Heavy fire was reported throughout the structure and more resources were called in to the scene along with stand by coverage. The response spanned from Kingston to Digby. Crews from North Queens were also dispatched to the scene with Greenfield Fire standing in at the North Queens Fire Station.
EHS Paramedics, RCMP, Nova Scotia Power were also on scene. Department of Public Works stayed on scene for the duration of the incident as fire trucks were shuttling tankers from a fill site on Parker Mountain Rd which caused icy roads in the area.
Fire crews faced below freezing conditions as well as strong winds which caused equipment to freeze and made firefighting difficult.
Off site excavators were also requested to the scene to assist with tearing down the structure.
The home was a total loss, there were no injuries reported. The Canadian Red Cross was also contacted to assist with displacement.
