Alabama basketball player Darius Miles and another man have been charged with capital murder after a fatal shooting near campus.

Tuscaloosa Police Capt. Jack Kennedy said that the shooting occurred early Sunday morning in the Strip off University Blvd. near campus. He said Jamea Harris, 23, of the Birmingham area was shot and killed.

In the past, Boosie Badazz has been heavily criticized for explicitly sharing his stance on the LGBTQ+ community. In particular, his comments about Dwyane Wade’s transgender daughter, Zaya, have earned him considerable heat. However, it seems that poetic justice may be served, as the Louisana native’s daughter has gone Instagram official with her girlfriend.

Burbank Police Department officer noticed the “Rhythm of the Night” singer’s expired vehicle tags at a local gas station in the early hours of the morning. Police also observed that he had an expandable metal baton in plain sight in his car.he baton is an illegal weapon and prompted cops to search the vehicle, where they allegedly found pepper spray and narcotics, which they believed to be he**in. DeBarge also did not have a valid driver’s license.

He was arrested and booked on charges including possession of a leaded cane or baton, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DeBarge posted a $25,000 bond and is due in court in March 2023.

His initial bond was set at $2 million, but the court dropped the amount after his lawyers, Carl Moore and Letitia Quinones, argued it was excessive and, therefore, unconstitutional. Texas law requires that bond not be used to hold defendants (i.e. financially speaking) ... but rather to ensure their return to court. Clark surrendered his passport to the judge.

Now that Clark is out ... he must abide by the conditions of his release. According to court documents, he will submit to house arrest and have no contact with certain people connected to the case -- including Takeoff's family and music exec J Prince and his relatives. Clark is also barred from possessing deadly weapons and must wear a GPS monitor so law enforcement can track his movements.

In a newly aired interview with WREG Memphis, loved ones said the rapper didn’t die “as a result of foul play,” and Boo’s close friend Delmar Lawrence said she had so many plans in the works for 2023.

“She loved what she wanted to do, she had so many plans, so many dreams about what she wanted to do for 2023. I mean she told me about ’em 3 days ago,” Lawrence told the outlet, adding that the pioneering Memphis rapper had become depressed right before her death.

On Thursday (Dec. 29), Cannon announced the birth of his second child — a daughter named Halo Marie — with Alyssa Scott. He’s now father to five daughters and seven sons.

Cannon shares twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, who gave birth to her third baby with Cannon, Beautiful Zeppelin, less than two months prior to Halo’s birth.

He is also dad to Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah, whom he shares with Brittany Bell; Legendary Love, whose mom is Bre Tiesi; and Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.

Another Young Slime Life associate has accepted a plea deal ahead of Young Thug's racketeering trial next year.

On Wednesday (Dec. 29), Antonio Sledge, aka Mounk Tounk, appeared at a hearing in Atlanta and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the racketeer influenced and corrupt organizations (RICO) act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 15 years on probation.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, as part of the guilty plea, Sledge, 41, agreed to testify at trial, submit to random drug testing, possess no guns and commit no criminal acts. If he tests positive for any illegal substance, he must enter a drug rehab within 30 days. Additionally, he is not allowed to have any contract with any of the co-defendants and must abide by a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., unless he is working, going to school or has a medical emergency.

Takeoff’s alleged killer wants another bond reduction . 👀👀🚫🧢

Patrick Xavier Clark, the 33-year-old Houston man accused of shooting and killing Migos rapper Takeoff on November 1 of this year, appeared in court on Tuesday (December 27) as his attorneys moved to have his bond lowered from $1 million to $300,000, according to ABC News. It was set at $1 million after a successful bid to have it reduced from $2 million. Clark’s lawyer feels the $300,000 figure is more appropriate, as the accused’s family can put a home up as collateral to secure his release.

A student nurse killed in the monster snowstorm that pounded upstate New York sent terrifying videos to her family while trapped in her car before she was finally found dead around 24 hours later.

Orlando Brown, who starred in Disney’s “That’s So Raven,” is facing an aggravated menacing charge after police took him into custody on Thursday.

He pleaded not guilty on Friday.

Police told the Los Angeles Times they were called out to a Lima home and witnessed a “fierce verbal argument.”

In a clip from a recent interview with the Know For Sure podcast, Chrisean was asked if there’s a possibility that she might be currently be pregnant. While admitting that she’s not sure, the rapper and social media starlet revealed that it wouldn’t be the first time.

WNBA star Brittney Griner is heading home after she was released from a Russian jail in a prisoner swap for convicted arms dealer Viktor Bout.
Thursday's swap did not include another American that the US State Department has declared wrongfully detained, Paul Whelan.
In a phone interview with CNN, Whelan said he was happy Griner was released but expressed disappointment in his continued Russian detention.
