GIVE BACK WHAT YOU STOLE FROM US! South Africans tell UK monarch.

Calls are growing in South Africa for Britain's royal family to return the world's largest known clear-cut diamond in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death.
Known as the Great Star of Africa or Cullinan I, the diamond is cut from a larger gem that was mined in South Africa in 1905 and handed over to the British royal family by South Africa's colonial authorities. It is currently mounted on a royal scepter belonging to the Queen.
Demands for the return of the Great Star of Africa and other diamonds along with calls for repatriations have intensified since the Queen's death. Many South Africans view Britain's acquisition of the jewels as illegitimate

4 OTHERS JOIN MATHIAS POBGA IN JAIL!!
Mathias Pogba, 32, was indicted for extortion in organized gang and participation in a criminal association, said a judicial source. According to a source close to the investigation, he was placed under the more favorable status of witness for the facts of sequestration in the night of 19 to 20 March. He was placed in pre-trial detention.
"We will challenge this decision," immediately reacted on BFMTV his lawyer Yassine Bouzrou.
Justice notes that the most serious offense charged (kidnapping) does not concern my client, and unfortunately, we have a decision that goes against a case, he added

WAS BILL GATES THE PROPHET OF DOOM?
The American billionaire Bill Gates and wife seem to have gotten it all wrong this time around. In many occasions they warned the world about the eventual devastating death rate from covid-19 in Africa. While many countries in the world are already experiencing second wave of covid-19, African countries seem to have been spared of the worst case scenario. Infection rates extremely low in Africa and death rate almost insignificant.
- Did Bill Gates and the family wish evil for Africa?
- Did African countries put in place the right strategies against covid-19?
- Or God fought for Africans
What ever the case it is important to say that African countries are unlikely to experience what the Bill Gates family had forecasted for Africa. Even in countries where the infection rates are relatively high like South Africa, the death rate is still relatively low.
Indeed Africa has done a good job against covid-19. Loadable

RELIGION IN AFRICA
GABOLA CHURCH IN SOUTH AFRICA USES ALCOHOL TO WORSHIP GOD.
A church in South Africa is turning heads over its unorthodox style
Gabola Church allows its members who congregate at a Tavern to take alcohol
The Bishop, Tsietsi Makiti, baptizes the fast growing members with alcohol of their choice
Gabola is the Tswana word for drinking
A church in South Africa has rewritten and redefined what a ‘standard church’ ought to look like, behave and preach.
The fast rising Gabola Church situated south of Johannesburg allows its members who congregate at a Tavern to take alcohol as they worship God and are baptized with a brand of alcohol of their choice.
While speaking to the Daily Sun, the church's founder Bishop Tsietsi Makiti (52) stated that his church was two months old but has over 500 members and 2000 baptized.
“If you drink beer, you get baptised in beer. The same goes for those who drink cider and other alcoholic beverages,” said Makiti

Wearing his cleric’s hat with a bold cross stitched in gold on the front,Makiti stated that the church accommodates people who are not welcome at other churches.

He says that his church was created to offer refuge for drunkards who were not accepted and condemned by mainstream churches.
“This is where those labelled ‘drunkards’ by other churches are welcome..

Here, we drink in public and praise the Lord at the same time. This is not a joke ... this is a space for people to come together in God’s name without being ashamed of being drinkers…

All we do is drink, praise and appreciate God at the same time. We don’t promise anyone magic.
We are only saying this is an environment where one can drink without being judged at all,” he added.
On why there were only men in the church, Makiti stated that it was just a matter of time.
“Women are also not allowed because we have men who are drinking, and we cannot have instances where some of them start troubling these women...
We will allow women at a later stage, once our [male] congregants have been well prepared..

Wherever we hold our services, we disallow children from buying alcohol, even if they are sent by their parents; we send them back,” said Makiti.
The Bishop added that he had received many invitations to start a similar church all pover South Africa.
“We have been overwhelmed with invitations from across the country. People want us to come and launch Gabola Church. We are going to the North West soon, as well as other provinces.”

GABONESE BORN AUBAMEYANG HELPS ARSENAL TO WIN FA CUP
Arsenal 2-1 Win Against Chelsea

Thousands of fans flooded the streets of London Saturday, after Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, scored twice to beat Chelsea 2-1 leading the Gunners to win the FA Cup final on Saturday.

This victory secured the club’s place in the Europa League next season as they risked missing out on European football for the first time in 25 years after finishing eighth in the Premier League.

After losing the Carabao Cup final in 2018 and then the Europa League final in 2019 with Arsenal, this was Aubameyang's first time winning a trophy at the Emirates. On an individual level, Aubameyang's star has always shone brightly. His wins of the Golden Boot in both the Bundesliga and Premier League mark his status as a world-class footballer. In addition, he was also named the African Footballer of the Year in 2015.

UGANDA
MAN SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR KILLING GORILLA.
A Ugandan man who pleaded guilty to killing a rare silverback gorilla was condemned to 11 years in prison on Thursday.

A 25-year-old male gorilla named Rafiki was found dead in June at the Bwindi National Park in Uganda. Rafiki was the dominant male in a family of 17 mountain gorillas.

The suspect told investigators that he killed the gorilla in self-defense.
About one thousand mountain gorillas live in protected areas in Congo, Uganda and Rwanda.

Tourism in national parks brings critical funds to protect the animals, but since the coronavirus pandemic, the industry has collapsed, and concerns about how to protect vulnerable animals are rising.

Mountain gorillas are now critically endangered due to the surge of illegal hunting.

SURPRISING,
ALSHABAB SETS UP COVID-19 CENTER IN SOUTHERN SOMALIA
The al-Qaeda-linked extremist group in Somalia has unveiled a COVID-19 isolation and care facility, a sign that the group is taking seriously the pandemic that continues to spread in the fragile country.

Al-Shabab announced Friday that the facility, which includes a round-the-clock hotline, has been set up in Jilib, a major stronghold of the extremist group in southern Somalia.

“I am urging people with the disease symptoms to come to the medical facility and avoid infecting other Muslims,” Sheikh Mohamed Bali, a senior al-Shabab official and a member of the group’s ad hoc COVID-19 response committee, said in a speech broadcast by the group’s radio arm Andalus.

When The Associated Press called al-Shabab’s COVID-19 hotline, a man who answered said the care facility is “open for all people.”

He declined to say whether they had any virus cases but said the facility — set up in a building that once housed the United Nations children’s agency in Jilib — has all necessary equipment to isolate and treat patients.

For months, Somali health officials have warned that areas controlled by al-Shabab in central and southern Somalia could be at high risk for the virus’ spread. The extremist group has resisted assistance from the government and international health organizations in this and past crises including drought.

CAMEROON,
A YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR CREATES SENSATION BY MAKING FACE SHIELDS TO HELP SCHOOL RESUMPTION
A young entrepreneur by name Shiyntum Emeal Kelah has presented amazing images of students putting on beautifully made face shields in classrooms as school resume today. The young entrepreneur says the shields have been made by him and his team in Bamenda. According to him, these face shields are a results of months of research, innovation and hard work under an initiative, "African Solutions against covid-19". He says he has no doubt that face shields are a great protective equipment for children and students in the classroom in preventing coronavirus transmission given the mode of transmission of the virus. He goes further to insist that it is practically unrealistic to suffocate a child under nose mask for a whole day and expect the child to come back the following day and continue with the nose mask.
He says his face shields have been endorsed by renowned medical Doctors like Dr Nick Ngwanyam of St Louis University Institute and Dr Lang of Providence Clinic with some staffs of hospitals in Bamenda using the face shields.
Our research confirm that face shield a lone can prevent coronavirus transmission up to 92% and if won with face mask can be excellent in covid-19 safety.
The group is calling on the Government, well wishers and organizations to assist them so that they can produce thousands of these shields for schools and other groups so that we can fight against covid-19 using our home grown initiatives.
They say a shield costs just 500 frs

THE PLANT BEHIND MADAGASCAR COVID-19 CURE
Covid-Organics, a herbal tea presented by Madagascar’s President Andry Rajoelina as a remedy against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, is made from artemisia, a green fern with an appearance similar to cannabis.

Its proponents tout it as the first effective treatment against the coronavirus. Its detractors have dismissed it as an overly hyped magic potion, at best useless, at worst dangerous.

Artemisia annua has a long history in its native China, where scientists discovered an active ingredient that made the plant a front-line weapon in the fight against malaria.

However, the drink is being promoted in some African countries as a cure. Rajoelina is the promoter-in-chief of the mixture, marketed as Covid-Organics and administered in the form of a herbal infusion.

Asserting that the Madagascan brew has the potential to “change history,” Rajoelina has widely distributed it in his Indian Ocean island nation and donated supplies it to many parts of Africa.

The East African countries of Tanzania and the Comoros are among enthusiastic customers as well as Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea on the Atlantic coast.

Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embalo made a point of personally taking delivery of his country’s Covid-Organics order at the airport.

PASTOR CHRIS CHANNEL SANCTIONED OVER 5G "WAHALA"
British media regulator Ofcom has imposed sanctions against a channel founded by Nigerian megachurch preacher Chris Oyakhilome for airing "unsubstantiated claims" linking 5G to the coronavirus pandemic.

The regulator said while it does not oppose broadcasts airing controversial views or those challenging health authorities, the claims in a sermon aired by Christian channel Loveworld News calling the pandemic a "global cover-up" posed serious health consequences to viewers.
The sermon questioned the need for lockdown measures to prevent the spread of the virus without providing context, according to the Ofcom investigation.

Loveworld was ordered by the agency to air findings from its investigation given the "serious failings" by the channel to protect its viewers during the program.
CNN contacted Loveworld News UK for a comment but has yet to receive one.
Nigeria's information agency also debunked the popular pastor's claim that the government imposed movement restrictions in its two cities to allow the installation of the new generation wireless technology, according to a local report.
Oyakhilome presides over one of the largest Christian congregations in Africa and the church boasts of having branches in countries and university campuses across five continents.

RWANDAN GENOCIDE,
THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS TO THE UN !!!
As the genocide began in Rwanda, it is reported that the United Nations had 2,300 peace keepers in Rwanda. As the genocide progressed, the very United Nations scaled down it's peace keeping force from 2,300 to about 270 men.
Why did the UN scaled down the number of peace keepers in the middle of the genocide.
This may give us a clue on why the UN is unwilling to intervene on other probable genocides in the world like the case in Syria and Cameroon.

SADLY,
2 DAYS OLD BABY DIES FROM COVID-19
A two-day-old baby has become South Africa's first neonatal Covid-19 fatality, health minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said on Wednesday night.

Mkhize said that the child was one of 27 new Covid-19 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours. The country's death toll now stands at 339, and the number of confirmed cases has climbed to 18,003.

"Sadly, we have recorded the first neonatal mortality related to Covid-19. This was a two-day-old baby that was born prematurely and therefore had lung difficulties, which required ventilation support immediately after birth," said Mkhize.

"The mother had tested positive for Covid-19 and the child subsequently tested positive for Covid-19 as well. It is important to appreciate the complexities of the underlying condition of prematurity.

"We extend a special word of comfort to the mother of this child and salute the neonatologists, nurses and all allied and technical personnel who had the difficult task of caring for the neonate to the end."

AFRICA COULD LOSS THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19 IF CARE IS NOT TAKEN.
Reports coming from various African countries indicate a large degree of mistrust between the Governments and their citizens
1) In Nigeria, many of their citizens now call covid-19 as covid-419 indicating a type of fraud. A popular pastor has even denied outrightly that there is no covid-19 in Nigeria. Many Nigerian citizens are denying the presence of coronavirus in Nigeria
2) In Kenya some citizens have come up to claim that there is no coronavirus in Kenya
3) In Cameroon the president of Cameroon medical association had called for extra security in hospitals after increasing attacks on medics from patients or relatives who have tested positive.
Journalists have come under attack for reporting deaths from coronavirus.
With the increasing number of covid-19 cases in Africa and staggering death rate, there are now fears that refusal to accept the presence of covid-19 in African countries could lead to increase in infections rate and subsequently overwhelm the already weak health systems.
The situation is even made worst by some spiritual leaders who either make their followers to believe that Coronavirus does not exist and that covid-19 cannot be found in the church.
How does attack on Doctors and journalists help in desperate fight against covid-19 in Africa.
Despite the efforts on herbal remedies by some African countries, the situation could become very bad if the number of infections go too high. Has Africa not learned from the experience of Brazil where their president described coronavirus as a simple flow and the country now experience daily death of more than 500 persons daily.
Because of such mentality, those who spelled out doom for Africa may be right.
Africans and their Governments must restored trust ATLEAST within this pandemic if we must win the fight against covid-19

CAMEROON,
PASTOR WHO LAID HANDS ON COVID-19 PATIENTS DIES OF THE VIRUS
Popular Cameroonian pastor Franklin Ndifor, who laid his hands on many of his followers to “cure” them of Covid-19, has left his supporters in a state of panic after dying from the virus.
On Saturday, according to Voice of America, police had to force their way into his home in Douala to gain access as his followers had blocked the entrances, praying for his resurrection. The pastor had been a candidate in the central African country’s previous presidential election.
Speaking to the publication, Doctor Gaelle Nnanga said the pastor died less than a week after being diagnosed with the coronavirus. Dr Nnanga said members of Ndifor’s Kingship International Ministries Church had called him to help the pastor when they found out their leader was in agony. When the medical team he leads arrived, Ndifor was having severe respiratory difficulties. He died less than 10 minutes after they started treating him.
Pastor Franklin Ndifor Afanwi - Gone too soon. A man of great spirituality. This guided his entry into the political arena. If he left this world due to COVID19, then it must be to remind us of the reality of this pandemic. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
The pastor was buried in front of his house on the day of his death but his supporters sang and prayed for his resurrection throughout the weekend as they believe he is a prophet and had been on a “spiritual retreat with God” and would return.
Speaking to the publication, one of his followers, Rigobert Che, said that on Wednesday the "prophet" had prayed for him and several dozen people diagnosed with Covid-19, and some who suspected they were carriers or had symptoms.
Che believes Ndifor’s death had panicked those who’d been visiting him for prayers and for a cure.

COVID-19 IN AFRICA,
ONE WORKER INFECTS 533 OTHERS IN A FACTORY IN GHANA
Hundreds of factory workers at a fish processing plant in Ghana have tested positive for the coronavirus, the country's president Nana Akufo-Addo said.

All 533 of them contracted the virus from one worker at the factory in the port city of Tema, the president said in his public address to the nation Sunday.

The factory infection was detected from a backlog of 921 samples collected for testing last month that health officials just reported, Akufo-Addo said.

He did not give further details about the operations or measures to be taken about the situation.

REMEMBERING, RWANDAN GENOCIDE IN 1994 LEFT ATLEAST 800,000 PEOPLE DEATH.
At least 800,000 mainly Tutsi people were beaten, hacked or shot to death in Rwanda's 1994 genocide, a 100-day killing spree carried out mostly by Hutu forces.

Here is a recap, after French police on Saturday (May 16) arrested Felicien Kabuga, one of the last key suspects in the genocide.

PRESIDENT KILLED

On April 6, 1994, Rwanda's president, Juvenal Habyarimana, is killed when his aircraft is shot down over Kigali.

From the Hutu majority, he is returning from peace talks in Tanzania with Tutsi rebels of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF).

It is not clear who carried out the attack but the killing unleashes a killing spree by Hutu forces and militia.

GENOCIDE STARTS

On April 7, soldiers of the elite presidential guard kill the moderate Hutu prime minister, Agathe Uwilingiyimana, as well as 10 Belgian paratroopers guarding her.

Massacres start. Authorities distribute lists of people to be killed, mostly Tutsis but also opposition Hutus; troops and militia set up roadblocks and go house-to-house looking for targets.
UN SCALES DOWN EFFORT

From April 9 French and Belgian paratroopers arrive to evacuate their nationals.

A UN peacekeeping operation, unable to stop the massacres, is on April 21 reduced from around 2,300 to 270 men.

A week later Doctors Without Borders (MSF) says a "genocide" is under way.

On June 22, France deploys Operation Turquoise, a UN-mandated force tasked with halting the killing. It has little effect.

On June 30, the UN Human Rights Commission special rapporteur says the slaughter legally qualifies as "genocide" and appears to have been planned.

KILLING STOPS

On July 4, the mainly Tutsi RPF soldiers finally seize the capital Kigali and the killing ends. The United Nations will later estimate that 800,000 people lost their lives.

Hundreds of thousands of Hutus, fearing reprisals, flee to neighbouring Zaire, today's Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Mille Collines radio station exhorts Hutus to kill Tutsi "cockroaches", to r**e and loot.

Men, women and children are killed in the streets, in their homes and even in churches and schools where they seek refuge.

U.S EMBASSY IN TANZANIA SAYS COVID-19 CASES IN CAPITAL CITY EXTREMELY HIGH
The US Embassy in Tanzania, claiming that many hospitals in the main city Dar es Salaam have been overwhelmed in recent weeks, contends the risk of contracting Covid-19 there is "extremely high."

Wednesday's health alert notes that the Tanzanian government has not released any data on Covid-19 since April 29.

"Despite limited official reports, all evidence points to exponential growth of the epidemic in Dar and other locations in Tanzania."

The embassy alert did not provide sources for its assessment.

CNN has reached out to the Tanzania government spokesman for comment and has yet to receive a response.

President John Magufuli has suggested his citizens "pray the virus away," and allowed places of worship to remain open while schools closed. The President vowed he wouldn't put the country under any lockdown, but did make social distancing and mask-wearing mandatory.

BUHARI VOWS TO LISTEN TO SCIENCE BEFORE ALLOWING THE USE OF MALAGASY COVID-19 CURE
President Muhammadu Buhari Saturday at the State House, Abuja, while receiving the herbal ‘drug’ touted by Madagascar’s president to cure the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) said he will listen to science before allowing its usage.

Buhari who received the Madagascar’s herbal drug when he had an audience with President Umaro Sissoco Embalo of Guinea Bissau who brought along with him the samples of the traditional medicine as shared to African nations by Madagascar, reiterated that his position on all such herbal or traditional medicinal postulates had remained the same.

According to him, “We have our institutions, systems and processes in the country. Any such formulations should be sent to them for verification. I will not put it to use without the endorsement of our institutions.”

The Chairman of the PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Mr Boss Mustapha has previously dismissed speculations that Nigeria might have asked Madagascar for the supply of its Covid-19 organic instead of promoting local researchers for a cure.

Vanguard recalls he said; “The issue of Madagascar. Let me explain that Nigeria did not ask Madagascar for any solution. That has to be very clear because I have seen some narratives out there giving credence to a line of story that, for me, I think is only distractive. Nigeria did not ask.

“The Madagascan government decided to airlift quantities meant for African countries and so that of West Africa was airlifted to Guinea-Bissau.”

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION WARNS AFRICANS NOT TO CONSUME UNTESTED MEDICINE
Africans deserve access to medicines that have gone through proper trials even if they are derived from traditional treatments, it said.

Its statement comes as Madagascar's president is promoting a herbal tonic for treating Covid-19 patients.

The African Union (AU) said it wanted to see the scientific data on the "safety and efficacy" of the product.

The tonic, known as Covid-Organics, was tested on fewer than 20 people over three weeks, a presidential aide told the BBC - which is not in line with WHO guidelines on clinical trials.

This can be a lengthy process in which a potential drug is tested in four phases, scaling up from a trial on a small number of patients to using it on a population countrywide.

Despite these reservations, several African countries, including Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Liberia, have already ordered Covid-Organics, which is produced from the artemisia plant - the source of an ingredient used in a malaria treatment - and other Malagasy plants.

NIGERIA AND AFRICA,
HEALTH CARE WORKERS BECOMING THE SACRIFICIAL LAMP TO COVID-19
The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has decried the increased assaults on nurses and midwives handling COVID-19 cases in different isolation centres across the country.

NANNM lamented that over 2000 Nigerian health care professionals especially nurses and doctors had tested positive for COVID-19 while about 15 health care professionals lost their lives.

Speaking at an event to mark the 2020 Nurses and Midwives Day, yesterday, in Abuja, President of the association, Abdurafiu Alanis Adeniji, noted that hazards being confronted by nurses and midwives were enormous.

He added that they were being unduly exposed to coronavirus by some patients who hide their medical/travel history as well as non-disclosure of contact with an infected individual when patient and relative present at the health care facilities.

Adeniji said that from the statistics received through NANNM COVID-19 Situation Report Room, almost 1000 nurses and midwives had been exposed to coronavirus, out which about 200 were on isolation.

He disclosed that five nurses and midwives have lost their lives to the virus, adding that the health care system in the country appears to have been over stretched and on the verge of being overwhelmed.

Adeniji observed that WHO’s prescription is 40 nurses per 100,000 populations but regretted that Nigeria was operating five to six nurses to 100,000 populations.

According to him, the current situation provides an unusual opportunity for commitment and increased investment on the nursing and midwifery profession. “There are evidences of lack of adequate awareness and knowledge of the nature and transmission of COVID-19 disease. There is equally lack of adequate knowledge on the use of PPE and sometimes some health care frontline professionals violate infectious diseases principle and protocol. “These further exposes frontline health care professionals to infections par
