How to Boil Corn on the Cob. My method for how to boil corn on the cob is simple. You only need 1 ingredient: fresh sweet corn! First, remove the husks from the corn. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the corn to the boiling water and cook, uncovered, until the kernels are tender and golden. Exactly how long to boil corn on the cob will vary based on how much you’re cooking and how you like your corn. I typically go for 3-5 minutes.
While corn is cooking prepare the dressing to add one tablespoon of butter to the pan and melt it, then add your fresh mozzarella, stirring constantly, next add your shredded cheddar and mozzarella. As soon as the cheese is melted add your spices. I am adding thyme, garlic powder, and mustard powder. Spread some of the dressing and some shredded cabbage (optional) on top of the corn.
