We conclude the Summer mini-series with two entries that are especially poignant reminders that there is more going on than meets the eye and though experiences with the paranormal may be inexplicable, they remain undeniable.

Our first sitter recounts an unsettling experience he and his brother had with a black dog. And the moment of intuition minutes prior, that may very well have saved his life.

And our final storyteller of the summer, will in part be known to many as he relays his experiences with the ghostly and dark at a beloved and historic Hollywood site that would later be featured on Unsolved Mysteries. Comedian Joey Gaynor also leaves us with an incredible story involving afterlife communication, deathbed visits from loved ones and shared experiences with the paranormal that has shown him there is far more to the unexplained and unseen than mere coincidence.

Ranked by the American Literary Society at #1 on their most “frequently challenged books“ list from 1990 to ’99 & #7 in the early 2000’s. Also made the American Library Association List of top 10 books to be banned in the 90’s.

I remember saving up and buying mine at the Scholastic bookfair. Reading the stories w/ racing heart & ears perked for something creeping. Studying the artwork, imagination going wild. Nostalgia isn’t enough to describe what I feel when I see that clown skull head & pipe.

This early Influence did not make me violent. It taught me about folklore and the power of good storytelling. It instilled a love for reading I still have today. It allowed me to wonder and question about things unknown. And safely squirm, of course. These are classics and good memories for me.

A Haunted Home often comes equipped with footsteps and electrical malfunctions. But sometimes the level of activity escalates to the point we can no longer face it alone. As in the case of our first storyteller, who shares her unsettling experiences in her childhood home and an attack from an unseen force on a priest.

Eerie encounters with shadow people follow in our second entry. Though our storyteller reports these enigmatic entities have never interacted directly or do more than simply watch, he also tells us of a following Estes communication that makes me wonder if they have made direct contact with him, after all.

Our final story is a personal and touching example of receiving communication from a loving father who has passed away. After trying every possible password combination and facing repeated lockouts on her father’s phone, Liz finally received the answer she’d been searching for - from dad, himself.

All of the stories you will hear this summer are firsthand accounts recorded at my vendor booth during Tombstone’s 2nd Annual Wild West Paracon.

Our first storyteller recounts a highly strange sleep paralysis experience during his childhood that is unlike any you’ve heard, before. And in our second entry, our sitter recounts a short residence in her sister’s haunted home. Made shorter by the paranormal and poltergeistic activity that progressively got worse - until it could no longer be ignored.
