Sorry life got crazy. But I’m working on some episodes for next spring. Do you have a bird or group of birds you want to learn how to identify by sound? Let me know.

In just a few days my friends and I are going on a birding trip to the big island of Hawaii. The extinction crisis there is heart breaking and devastating. Despite decades of conservation and protection 8 native species were declared extinct this year, 36 remaining species are listed as endangered some probably extinct, others critically endangered. So when we say we’re going to go see them before they’re gone it’s not an exaggeration. But there are many amazing people who are fighting for these birds with dedication and passion and that gives me hope.
