For years the kids pester for Xmas lights on the house, so whilst the weather was still nice I thought I would oblige, and I know that Carley Clayton loves that we have Xmas lights up this early in the year.

1 year ago today I was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma which started on my head. After surgery in February, to remove quite a large chunk of my head and the sentinel lymph node in my neck, it was reclassed as Stage 3D Metastatic Melanoma as it had spread to the lymph node.
Following another surgery, to remove 32 lymph nodes for testing, I started a course of immunotherapy. After 3 months I found another tumor in my neck meaning the treatment was not working.
Another small procedure in August and a new treatment regime started in September.
I had a scan in December and results last week, this scan showed that my current treatment is working and we could not see any cancer.
last year was the worst of my life so far, but now things look to be on the up and up so roll on 2023 and the rest of my long life.
