Kohli said he has had lengthy discussions with head coach Ravi Shastri and white-ball skipper Rohit before coming to the conclusion that he needs to concentrate more on ODI and Test cricket both as a batsman and as captain to take the team to new heights.

"I have given everything to the Team during my time as T20 Captain and I will continue to do so for the T20 Team as a batsman moving forward," Kohli wrote. "Of course, arriving at this decision took a lot of time. After a lot of contemplation and discussions with my close people, Ravi bhai and also Rohit, who have been an essential part of the leadership group, I've decided to step down as the T20 Captain after this T20 WC in Dubai in October.
"I have also spoken to the secretary Mr Jay Shah and the President of BCCI Mr Sourav Ganguly along with all the selectors about the same. I will continue to serve Indian Cricket and the Indian Team to the best of my ability. I have been fortunate enough to not only represent India but also lead the Indian Cricket Team to my utmost capability. I thank everyone who has supported me in my journey as the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team. I couldn't have done it without them - the boys, the support staff, the selection committee, my coaches and each and every Indian who prayed for us to win," he added.
Kohli will continue to serve as India's Test and ODI captain.

"Understanding workload is a very important thing and considering my immense workload over the last 8-9 years playing all 3 formats and captaining regularly for last 5-6 years, I feel I need to give myself space to be fully ready to lead the Indian Team in Test and ODI Cricket."

RAB raided their residence hours after a customer brought charges of fraud against the e-commerce platform’s founder
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested online marketplace Evaly’s Managing Director Mohammad Rassel and his wife Chairperson Shamima Nasrin amid allegations against the e-commerce platform of cheating customers.

The arrests were made during a raid at Rassel’s flat at the capital’s Mohammadpur at 4pm, RAB spokesperson Commander Khondokar Al Moin confirmed.

The raid comes hours after an Evaly customer brought charges of fraud and threatening with life against Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin, the chairman of the e-tailer in a case filed with the police in Dhaka earlier in the day.

Two Bangladeshi youths have bought one acre of land on the moon from a US-based organization, Lunar Embassy Corporation, for just $55.

The two friends, SM Shahin Alam and Sheikh Shakil Hossain, on Wednesday received the land deed and a map showing the location of their land on the surface of the moon.

Shahin Alam claimed they were the first Bangladeshis to buy a piece of land on the moon.

Former US presidents George W Bush, Jimmy Carter and the late Ronald Reagan also bought land on the moon from the same organization, he said.

Apple’s new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini look very similar to the iPhone 12, but have a smaller notch and a diagonal camera array. They’re equipped with the new A15 Bionic chip and have an improved dual-camera system on the back. Apple is also promising longer battery life than the iPhone 12.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max look similar to their predecessors, with a stainless steel band around the sides and a matte finish on the back. But the big upgrade is the screen — they support Apple’s ProMotion adaptive refresh rate technology that tops out at 120Hz. They also have a new camera system and an A15 Bionic chip. Like the iPhone 13, Apple is also promising improved battery life from the iPhone 12 series.

A new investor report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says he expects the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max to each have a 1TB storage configuration, days before Apple's California Streaming event on September 14th . The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will have storage configurations of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, but no 64GB option.

Kuo also said he expects Apple to reveal AirPods 3 at Tuesday’s event, but that Apple will probably keep the AirPods 2 available. He cautions that the iPhone 13 could be affected by supply chain shortages, as has been previously reported, but expects there will be limited impact on iPhone 13 shipments.

Rumors around the Apple Watch 7 are predicting a faster processor and a new hardware design, including larger screens and new watchfaces. And the iPad Mini is expected to get a big redesign, as well.

North Korea test-fired a new "long-range cruise missile" over the weekend, state media reported Monday, with the US saying the nuclear-armed country was threatening its neighbours and beyond.

Such a weapon would represent a marked advance in North Korea's weapons technology, analysts said, better able to avoid defence systems to deliver a warhead across the South or Japan – both of them US allies.

The missiles travelled 1,500km, two-hour flight paths – including figure-of-8 patterns – above North Korea and its territorial waters to hit their targets, according to KCNA.

Tension between Israel and the Palestinians has risen over the past week, after six Palestinian militants escaped from a maximum security Israeli jail on Monday.

Israel carried out air strikes in the Gaza Strip on Sunday in response to Palestinian rocket fire into its territory, the Israeli military said.

Drawing Israeli air strikes, Gaza militants fired a rocket into Israel on Friday when two of the prisoners were apprehended and then again on Saturday, after two more escaped inmates were caught.

The company said last year it would stop responding to such requests.

Google provided some user data to the government of Hong Kong last year, despite promising it would not process such data requests from authorities, according to the Hong Kong Free Press. The company told the news outlet it “produced some data” in response to three of the 43 requests it received from Hong Kong’s government. Two of the requests had to do with investigations into human trafficking and included search warrants, and a third was an emergency disclosure as part of a credible threat to someone’s life, HKFP reported.

11/09/2021

Strict actions will be taken against any education institute that fails to comply with the government directives on reopening of schools and colleges, says Education Minister Dipu Moni.

“We cannot compromise with students’ health under any circumstances,” she told the media at Jamalpur Circuit House on Saturday.

“Schools and colleges will be closed again if infections rise,” she said before adding that infections are unlikely to rise if health guidelines are followed.

“If any student or their family is infected or shows symptoms, they don’t have to attend classes,” she said. Her remarks came after Health Minister Zahid Maleque said on Friday that his ministry will recommend shutting down schools in case of a spike in coronavirus cases.

Schools and colleges in Bangladesh are set to open after nearly 18 months on Sunday.

The authorities have issued guidelines as part of preparations to reopen the schools after the extended closure.

A conjectured 'thief' was beaten to death in the capital of Sabujbagh area early yesterday.

The 28-year-old man could only pronounce his name – Ridoy – to the crowd that started beating him, said police

According to the sub-inspector of Sabujbagh Police Station, Anwar Hossain, the incident took place inside the boundary wall of a building under construction for a club.

At around 11.15 pm yesterday, the club manager along with some people and caretakers caught him. They then tied up both his hands and legs and beat him up brutally, leaving him critically injured, said the sub-inspector

On information, police rushed to the spot and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in an unconscious state, he further said.

Ridoy passed away around 3:00am while being treated at the hospital. His body bore torture marks.

According to the police official, the law enforcers detained two men in connection with the incident and sent the body to DMCH morgue for autopsy.

11/09/2021

On September 3rd, Drake released his 6th LP 'Certified Lover Boy' after almost a 9 month wait from its original release date back in january, which is ironic, considering the hilarious album cover.

CLB is an album of high expectation, as his last full length LP 'Scorpion' didn't quite scratch the itch in terms of quality and impact.

So, did Drake finally deliver another long awaited classic, or is he proving the critics right by making yet another bore of an album?

US President Joe Biden, speaking in a videotaped recording at the White House, honored the memories of those killed in the attacks and the thousands more injured, as well as the firefighters, nurses and many others who risked or endangered their lives during the subsequent rescue missions and long road to recovery.

He also acknowledged the "darker forces of human nature - fear and anger, resentment and violence against Muslim Americans, true and faithful followers of a peaceful religion" that he said had bent, but not broken, American unity.

"To me, that's the central lesson of Sept. 11, is that at our most vulnerable, in the push and pull of all that makes us human, and the battle for the soul of America, unity is our greatest strength," he said.
"Unity doesn't mean we have to believe the same thing. We must have a fundamental respect and faith in each other, and in this nation," he added.
The White House released the video on the eve of the 20th anniversary, which Biden will mark by visiting all three sites that were attacked.

Today, Biden and first lady Jill Biden will visit New York City, where two airliners destroyed the World Trade Center and killed 2,753 people; the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, where a third airliner crashed; and Shanksville, where passengers forced down a fourth aircraft believed to have been headed to the US Capitol or White House.
