While there were no updates in December, later this month I will publish translation of "Kto z czego żyje?" - one of first Polish socialist pamphlets, pointed out by Lenin himself as an example of evergreen socialist propaganda.

Today marks the 106th anniversary of the Great Socialist October Revolution. The October Revolution was the most important revolutionary uprising in history. It was the first attempt by millions of working people to create a classless society, to abolish poverty, ignorance, oppression and exploitation. Therefore, it remains a beacon for all progressive humanity.

On the occasion of this anniversary, I would like to announce the publication within a month of a translation of a Polish Marxist work from 1989, which exposes the Stalinist distortion of socialism and defends the revolutionary legacy of October.

With a record turnout of 74%, the ruling right-authoritarian Law and Justice (P*S) won 36% of the vote (and 194 Sejm mandates of 460), neoliberal center-right Citizen Coalition (KO) – 31% (157 mandates), neoliberal- “populist” Third Way – 14% (65 seats), the (nominal) Left – 9% (26 seats) and the far-right Confederation – 7% (18 seats)....

In light of recent exacerbation of Israel's colonial and genocidal policy towards the Palestinian people,
in light of the fact that Zionism uses history of antisemitism as a justification for its reactionary policy,
it is imperative to expose the reactionary essence of Zionist ideology.

To this end I remind of a Trotskyist critique of Zionism published during WWII be residents of the Warsaw Ghetto. Back then Zionism was "the ideology of collaboration" with Na**sm; today Zionism is a state ideology of Nazi-like ethnic cleansing and genocide. The fact that Israel is supported by all major imperialist power proves that such a policy is the natural endpoint of capitalist decay.

On October 1, the amended Penal Code (https://poltrot1917.wordpress.com/136), criminalizing communist activities, comes into force.

The existing regulations did not prohibit them, although the ban on "promoting totalitarianism" (criteria of which remained unspecified) allowed for harassment of Polish communists.

New law explicitly penalizes propaganda of practice and ideology of communism with a prison sentence of up to 3 years.

As capitalism drags humanity further into chronic crisis, reactionary bourgeoisie persecutes the only political group that's able to present a political program of changes necessary to save our species from capitalist barbarism.

Repression won't save the bourgeoisie – it is a class already condemned by history. The question it is capable of dragging down the proletariat and all working people with it. These are the political stakes of our time.

The Warsaw Uprising under bourgeois leadership was doomed to failure. Therefore, on August 1, we should not mourn the Sanation leadership, which was ready to drown the capital in blood in order to preserve the rule of the bourgeoisie. Instead, we should pay tribute to those who fought for socialist Poland. On August 4, the opposition-controlled Polish Senate rejected the government's amendment to the Penal Code. The bill is now returning to the Sejm, where the government coalition has the necessary majority to nullify the Senate's veto. The amendment, which increases criminal penalties and the repressive nature of the state, largely duplicates the solutions proposed in the government's draft of the Code from 2019. The bill was then declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Tribunal for procedural reasons (the bill was pushed through the Sejm in 2 days)....
