I’m a day late, but our little guy turned six yesterday! How the years have flown by. We are so blessed to have this adventurous, happy boy in our lives. He is so full of life and the friendliest kid you will ever meet. He is an incredible problem solver and loves building things. He wants to be a robotics engineer when he grows up. He amazes me every day. He is going to change the world 💙

Do you know what is AMAZING? When I was filling out Ben’s paperwork for his three year check up I came to the part about his family history. All I had to do was text his wonderful birth mother and she was able to answer the questions for me. And Will’s birth mother is always there for us too. Open adoption is truly the best. I will always be grateful for the incredible birth mothers and birth families we have in our lives ❤️

Great Wolf Lodge Part 3: The Garden of the Gods was amazing. It was the perfect way to spend one of our mornings. Then there was mining and arcades, Build a Bear, and the ropes course. Finish it off with candy and crafts and more pool time. We had so much fun making memories with our little guys.

Great Wolf Lodge Part 1: We had such a fun week escaping together for a vacation. The boys got to try new things every day and they loved it! They were Magi with wands that really worked, they climbed a rock wall and had so much fun repelling down, and we even tried out mini golf (which mostly consisted of chasing two little boys around who were hitting balls everywhere 😂)

The boys finished swimming lessons this past week. They had such a great time and it was so fun for me to see all they learned and how much they grew. Will has always hated getting water in his eyes, but by the end his favorite thing was dunking his head under the water. And of course slide day is the best part!

We celebrated my birthday a day late, but I had the best time playing at the reservoir with my boys. They loved going out in the raft, playing in the sand, feeding the ducks, and splashing around. And I loved being right there with them! We finished off the night with my favorite, German Chocolate cake 🎂

Dave loves learning (which is probably why he has so many degrees ha ha). It is something I truly admire about him, his thirst for knowledge. He has a very broad range of things he likes to learn about and any time he comes across something he doesn’t know, he always stops and looks it up. I hope he can pass his love of learning on to our kids. What do you like to learn about?

Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad! I definitely lucked out when it came to getting an amazing Father for our boys. He is serving, loving, and oh so silly and fun. He currently remains our undefeated wrestling champ (for now), is the best at LEGO building, and loves a good Dad joke. Our boys are his best buddies and he wouldn’t have it any other way 💙 We celebrated with his favorite treat, root beer floats, and he got monster truck tickets for a fun father/son night out. So grateful for the great example he is for our family.

Will had his last field trip for the year on Friday. We visited a local farm and got the feed and pet the animals. He has had the best time in preschool.
