Most people don’t realize this, but Instagram stories are one of the best ways to market and make sales.

“HIRING IS A WASTE OF MONEY” 😰

As a freelancer, I have heard this sentence more often than I would like. And it’s not always about hiring me.

⚡ A few months ago, one of my clients (a modern-jewelry business owner) told me that she doesn’t want to hire help for packing orders because it’s a waste of money.

As a result, she would stay up every night packing all the orders herself and then be extremely tired and groggy throughout the next day. She couldn’t focus on her business, was too irritable because of sleep deprivation and ultimately was on the verge of burning out. 🤒

Now, during this course of time, she had become a really good friend of mine and so I was able to intervene and almost forced her to hire someone for the job.

She finally did and I kid you not, it changed the whole trajectory of her business and her personal life in general. She was able to sleep better, was more active throughout the day, had time for her family and was overall HAPPIER. She had the time and the energy to actually focus on growing her business. 📈

Does she still think it’s a waste of money? Absolutely not.

In fact, now she has hired two more people for the same job because her business is constantly growing and orders keep pouring in.

When you hire someone for a job, it’s not always just that. You are hiring someone who is better at the job than you are (because you can’t be an expert at doing everything). So you are getting :
✔ Efficiency
✔ Expertise
✔ Time (that you would have otherwise spent on doing the task)

I don’t know about you, but it definitely sounds like a great deal to me. 🔥

I understand that when you are starting out, hiring someone might not seem feasible. I have been in that position when my budget was close to none and, therefore, I couldn’t even think about paying someone else. But then, the workload was comparatively low as well so I was able to handle it. 🌻

But once my business started growing, I realized how important it was to delegate work and let an expert take care of it.

📌 Make your Instagram profile stand out from the rest with these few simple steps.

🌟 With the growing number of businesses on Instagram, it might feel a little overwhelming sometimes. But, if you optimize your profile well, it can definitely bring you numerous opportunities and clients.

Here is what you can do it as a beginner.
✅ Professional DP or your Brand Logo :
Your profile picture is the first thing people are going to see and decide if they want to click on your account or not. Use a clear and professional photo or, if you are a Brand owner, use your Logo.
✅ Optimized Bio :
Once they are inside your account, your Bio should provide them with at least the basics of your business. Mention your services and your unique selling point.
✅ Well maintained feed :
Your feed is what going to make people click that follow button. Instagram is a visual platform and it’s important to keep it visually pleasing. Choose your brand colour palette and design and then stick to it.

⚡ Once you are done with these steps, your account will not only appear professional but also attract your ideal clients that you were struggling with earlier.

Instead, focus more on building an authentic relationship with your audience. 💫 Try to develop strategies that don’t make your content seem cold and hard to connect with. 🌟 Be raw and don’t be afraid of making mistakes.

If you ask me, I will always tell you that Community Management is one of the most important aspects to build an engaged audience around your Brand or Business.

⚡ Why is it important?
✔ Having an online community that supports your content and trusts your product/services, not only helps your Brand grow and strengthen its reputation, but also gives you a genuine audience who encourages you during your toughest time and provide with invaluable feedback.

Now that we all know why Community Management is so important, let’s learn how to build one.

✨ Communicate and Listen to your Audience :
Your audience is unique to you and your brand image. You must have heard people saying -What is working for others might not work for you. And that is absolutely true. You need to figure out what is it that your audience and ideal clients wants to see from you. If you don’t even know what they actually want, it’s impossible to deliver value. Try to have genuine conversations and listen to their feedback.
Also, your audience is always telling you something even when you don’t see it in the form of a comment or a DM. Pay attention to the Instagram insights. You will always see a hike when people are genuinely interested. Use that data to improve your strategy.

✨ Post meaningful content :
Identify how your product/services can be of help to people and try to focus your content around it. While it’s okay to post an unrelated but trendy reel or a meme every once in a while, stop posting completely random stuff just for the sake of it. It is more harmful than you think. All is does is clutter your feed and makes it difficult for people to understand your Brand or Business.

✨ Be Authentic :
It is really important to be your authentic self with your audience. It helps build trust and loyalty. Leave sincere comments, post intentional and genuine story and never force a conversation just to boost your engagement or to sell your services.

The world of Instagram is ever changing. The algorithm can be so hard to keep a track on.

And, as much as I want to say that it doesn’t affect me as an SMM, the reality is quite different.

It is frustrating when you have planned your content using a certain strategy because that was working for you the previous week, but, today it completely fails.

I have been there and I know how disheartening it can be.

As we enter the fifth month of the year, I can safely say that I have had the time to try and test multiple strategies for my clients and while most of them showed amazing results, I was constantly reminded of these fundamental strategies that are the key and still work great for 2022.

⭐ Use Hashtags. That’s it.
⭐ A great community will hold you up when all your strategies fail to show result.
