After a wonderful weekend, Her Majesty The Queen has issued a ‘thank you’ to us all.

There was a tear shed in the Love Cockermouth office when Her Majesty appeared on the balcony this afternoon, the first time I couldn’t sing our anthem due to all the emotion!

✨ POP UP SHOP ✨

In honour of the Platinum Jubilee, we’re hosting a pop-up shop here at the new Cumbrian Baker HQ. It’ll be our first opportunity to showcase what we’ve been up to over the last couple of months, as well as introduce you all to Bake - our new bakery and takeaway business.

We’ll be here from 8am - 2pm on Saturday 4th June with plenty of sweet and savoury treats for you to get your hands on! You can find us at Unit 8a, Lakeland Agricultural Centre, Cockermouth, CA13 0QQ.

It’s that time of year again when new starters at Cockermouth School start making enquiries about the uniform. You can download the form from here

Alternatively you can call in and pick up a form from The Toy Shop. Once you have filled it in just drop it back to us by post, by hand or email ([email protected]). We will then arrange for you to come in, try on and collect your smart new uniform.

We will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend, reopening as normal from Monday 6 June.

Although our Waste Collection Team will be working as normal on both Thursday June 2 and Friday June 3. Please leave your bin out for collection on your usual collection day. Although if you are having a street party and access to your street may be obstructed, we would like to encourage you to place your bins at the end of your street so that they can be emptied.

If you’re like Alice and you’ve been stuck down a rabbit hole you won’t know it’s our Jubilee Tea Party tomorrow 1-3.30pm. Good job the Cheshire Cat reminded her. See you all tomorrow for tea, cake and a good old get together. Everyone welcome.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is right around the corner!

Our friends at Cockermouth's Women's Institute are hosting a very special exhibition to celebrate 70 years of the Queen's reign.

Why not come down for a cup of tea/coffee and some cake?

Date: Saturday 4th June
Time: 10am to 3pm
Location: United Reformed Church, Main Street, Cockermouth
Price: Adults- £2.50, Children- £1

All proceeds will be in aid of Cumbria Youth Alliance, allowing us to support mental health issues for young people in our community.
