Over the past week I have been asked by several of my clients "Why am I not showing up at the top when someone searches one or more of my keywords?!" BECAUSE SEO DOES NOT HAPPEN OVER NIGHT! Many small business that have just joined the world of Google My Business do not understand the difference between SEO and SMO! SEO happens over time, the more ads you pay for (SEM Search Engine Marketing), website clicks/ traffic and reviews on Google is what helps you climb the SEO ladder. SMO- Social Media Optimization helps too! Use your social media platforms, pay for the advertisement and drive the traffic to your website!! BUT you better have a website that is attractive enough to keep the visitor and have them want to explore your site!! SEO=Happens Over Time, SMO= Happens Quickly but also fades quickly if not maintained daily!

It’s not very often will I ever say anything tops Digital Marketing when you are wanting to grow your business but this does... NETWORKING IN PERSON!! Building business relationships is how referrals happen and helps you grow! Last night I had the opportunity to go with Haury Concrete to a social event Toledo Mud Hens that was hosted by Home Lumber of New Haven, Inc. because of the relationship that Haury Concrete has built with Moline Builders over the years! Oh how I wish I could show you the before & after when I do a website clean up! This company's site was mixed with the abilities to make online reservations for a restaurant... it's a printer sales company! I got this client's site cleaned up, mobile site working, eBay connected, etc. Next up connect Facebook & Setup Google My Business!
