INTERJET ANALYZES FLYING A FLEET WITH L-410 AIRCRAFT IN 2022

The Mexican airline informed the investment plan and the fleet that would operate. Interjet is aiming to restart operations with a mixed fleet of Airbus A320 jets and Let L-410 Turbolet jets, which seems like a strange and risky decision.

to get the company back up and running, Interjet needs approximately one billion dollars, However, in the legal sphere it also has 'several tasks to fulfill', Almost a year without operating and in the middle of a strike, The Mexican airline would start operations with a fleet of ten Airbus A320 aircraft. It would then grow, focusing on the regional market, acquiring 10 Let L-410 Turbolet aircraft, according to the new Interjet's CEO Luis Federico Bertrand Rubio. However, this would be a challenge for Interjet since in Mexico L-410 aircraft are not used commercially, so they would have to obtain the appropriate permits and training to use the aircraft in question.
