Under the able guidance of Prof. Vandna Luthra, Principal, and the initiative of Dr. Babita Gaur, Librarian, Gargi College, Library organized a 7-day series of educational events from 12 August to 18 August 2026, including TOKO, Book Exhibition, Career Counselling in Library and Information Science (LIS), NDLI (National Digital Library of India), and SWAYAM. The programme aimed to promote awareness among students about career opportunities and digital learning resources.
During the programme, Mrs. Himani coordinated the sessions for students about various career opportunities, important educational and digital platforms. The sessions helped students understand how these resources can support their academic learning, skill development, and career planning.
At the end of the programme, an informative quiz was organized to assess the students understanding and participation. The winners and active participants were encouraged and awarded prizes. Overall, the programme was interactive, informative, and beneficial for the students.

प्रो. वंदना लूथरा, प्राचार्या, के कुशल मार्गदर्शन एवं डॉ. बबीता गौर, पुस्तकालयाध्यक्षा, की पहल पर गार्गी कॉलेज पुस्तकालय द्वारा 12 अगस्त से 18 अगस्त 2026 तक 7 दिवसीय शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रमों की श्रृंखला आयोजित की गई। इसमें TOKO, पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी, पुस्तकालय एवं सूचना विज्ञान (LIS) में करियर काउंसलिंग, NDLI (नेशनल डिजिटल लाइब्रेरी ऑफ इंडिया) तथा SWAYAM जैसी गतिविधियाँ शामिल थीं। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को करियर के अवसरों एवं डिजिटल शिक्षण संसाधनों के बारे में जागरूक करना था।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान श्रीमती हिमानी ने विद्यार्थियों के लिए विभिन्न करियर अवसरों तथा महत्वपूर्ण शैक्षणिक एवं डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म से संबंधित सत्रों का समन्वय किया। इन सत्रों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को यह समझने में सहायता मिली कि ये संसाधन उनकी शैक्षणिक शिक्षा, कौशल विकास एवं करियर योजना में किस प्रकार सहायक हो सकते हैं।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में विद्यार्थियों की समझ एवं सहभागिता का आकलन करने के लिए एक ज्ञानवर्धक क्विज आयोजित की गई। विजेताओं एवं सक्रिय प्रतिभागियों का उत्साहवर्धन करते हुए उन्हें पुरस्कार प्रदान किए गए। समग्र रूप से यह कार्यक्रम विद्यार्थियों के लिए अंतःक्रियात्मक, ज्ञानवर्धक एवं लाभकारी रहा।

TARU – Gargi College Botanical Society organized its Inaugural Lecture on 19th August 2026, marking the beginning of the academic session 2026–27. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Professor & Principal Scientist, Division of Agronomy, ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, on the theme “Organic Farming.”

The session offered students valuable insights into the principles and significance of organic farming and its role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices. It encouraged students to reflect on environmentally responsible approaches to farming and the future of sustainable agriculture.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Vandana Luthra (Principal), Dr. Vera Yurngamla Kapai (Teacher-in-Charge), Dr. Gladys Muviah, and Dr. Shubhra Barwa (Faculty Advisors). The insightful lecture was well received by the students and faculty, marking a meaningful beginning to TARU’s activities for the new academic session and fostering academic engagement, awareness, and discussion on sustainable agriculture.

तारू – गार्गी कॉलेज बॉटनिकल सोसाइटी ने 19 अगस्त 2026 को अपने उद्घाटन व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया, जो शैक्षणिक सत्र 2026-27 के प्रारंभ का प्रतीक था। यह व्याख्यान नई दिल्ली स्थित आईसीएआर-भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान संस्थान (आईएआरआई) के कृषि विज्ञान विभाग के प्रोफेसर और प्रधान वैज्ञानिक डॉ. दिनेश कुमार द्वारा "जैविक खेती" विषय पर दिया गया।

इस सत्र ने छात्रों को जैविक खेती के सिद्धांतों और महत्व तथा टिकाऊ कृषि पद्धतियों को बढ़ावा देने में इसकी भूमिका के बारे में बहुमूल्य जानकारी प्रदान की। इसने छात्रों को खेती के लिए पर्यावरण के प्रति जिम्मेदार दृष्टिकोण और टिकाऊ कृषि के भविष्य पर विचार करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।

यह कार्यक्रम प्रो. वंदना लूथरा (प्रधानाचार्य), डॉ. वेरा युरंगमला कपाई (प्रभारी शिक्षिका), डॉ. ग्लेडिस मुविया और डॉ. शुभ्रा बरवा (संकाय सलाहकार) के मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित किया गया। इस ज्ञानवर्धक व्याख्यान को छात्रों और शिक्षकों द्वारा खूब सराहा गया, जो नए शैक्षणिक सत्र के लिए TARU की गतिविधियों की एक सार्थक शुरुआत का प्रतीक है और सतत कृषि पर शैक्षणिक जुड़ाव, जागरूकता और चर्चा को बढ़ावा देता है।

The department of education organised a programme on Promoting River Consciousness as part of a MoU signed between Gargi College & Modern Institute of Education, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi. The programme aimed at undertanding the Yamuna as Delhi’s lifeline across various dimensions as well as integrating this knowledge in teaching-learning activities for school children. BElEd 3rd & 4th year students enthusiastically participated in the programme.

शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा गार्गी कॉलेज एवं मॉडर्न इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ एजुकेशन, मॉडर्न स्कूल, बाराखंभा रोड, नई दिल्ली के बीच हस्ताक्षरित समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) के अंतर्गत ‘नदी चेतना को बढ़ावा देना’ विषय पर एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया।

इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य दिल्ली की जीवनरेखा यमुना नदी को विभिन्न आयामों में समझना तथा इस ज्ञान को स्कूली बच्चों की शिक्षण-अधिगम गतिविधियों में समाहित करना था। कार्यक्रम में B.El.Ed. तृतीय एवं चतुर्थ वर्ष के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।

Gargi College celebrated India's 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 with immense pride and patriotism. Anchors Anushtha Mishra (Proctor, Arts) and Aditi Chauhan (Proctor, Science) welcomed everyone, recalling the historic midnight hour of 1947 when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru delivered his iconic "Tryst with Destiny" speech. Principal Prof. Vandna Luthra hoisted the National Flag as the gathering stood together in respect, The gathering then sang the National Anthem, "Vande Mataram," and the University of Delhi Kulgeet. Followed by the NCC cadets' spirited and disciplined parade, showcasing the strength of the nation's young citizens. The National Pledge was administered by Student President Abhisvara Sharma, after which the Principal addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. The cultural programme featured a classical dance by Tanisha Mandal, an English speech by Lakshika, songs by Samprada Singh and Pratima, an NSS performance, a poem by Gargi Pal, an open mic session and a quiz on India's freedom struggle. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and the proud chant of "Jai Hind, Jai Bharat!"

गार्गी कॉलेज ने 15 अगस्त 2026 को भारत के 80वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस को अपार गर्व और देशभक्ति के साथ मनाया। एंकर अनुष्ठा मिश्रा (प्रॉक्टर, आर्ट्स) और अदिति चौहान (प्रॉक्टर, साइंस) ने सभी का स्वागत करते हुए 1947 की उस ऐतिहासिक मध्यरात्रि को याद किया, जब पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने अपना प्रसिद्ध "ट्रिस्ट विद डेस्टिनी" (नियति से साक्षात्कार) भाषण दिया था। प्राचार्या प्रो. वंदना लूथरा ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया, और उपस्थित जनसमूह ने सम्मान में खड़े होकर इस पल को साझा किया। इसके बाद सभी ने राष्ट्रगान, "वंदे मातरम्", और दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय का कुलगीत गाया।
तत्पश्चात एनसीसी कैडेट्स की जोशीली और अनुशासित परेड हुई, जिसने राष्ट्र के युवा नागरिकों की शक्ति को प्रदर्शित किया। छात्र अध्यक्ष अभिस्वरा शर्मा ने राष्ट्रीय प्रतिज्ञा दिलाई, जिसके बाद प्राचार्या ने उपस्थित जनसमूह को एक प्रेरणादायक संबोधन दिया।
सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम में तनिषा मंडल का शास्त्रीय नृत्य, लक्षिका का अंग्रेज़ी भाषण, सम्प्रदा सिंह और प्रतिमा के गीत, एनएसएस की प्रस्तुति, गार्गी पाल की कविता, एक ओपन माइक सत्र, और भारत के स्वतंत्रता संग्राम पर आधारित एक प्रश्नोत्तरी शामिल रही।

Orientation Programme 2026 marked the beginning of an exciting journey for Gargi College's incoming batch. Organised by the Student Council, the programme was conducted in two phases–Online Orientation (27 July) and Departmental Orientation (28 July). The online session commenced with a warm welcome, followed by Deep Prajwalan, Saraswati Vandana, Kulgeet, and a graceful performance by Nazaakat. Principal Prof. Vandna Luthra introduced students to Gargi College's legacy, academics, campus and opportunities. Student Council members further familiarised freshers with the Council, societies, sports, student support and campus life. The programme concluded with a musical performance by Euphony and a vote of thanks. During the departmental orientation, faculty members, Department Council members and volunteers welcomed freshers, introduced them to the academic structure, attendance criteria, GE papers and college life. Interactive Q&A sessions encouraged meaningful interaction and helped address students' queries. The orientation concluded with freshers exploring the campus.
ओरएंटेशन कायक्रम 2026 के अंतगत छात्र परषद द्वारा 27 जुलाई को ऑनलाइन तथा 28 जुलाई को वभागीय ओरएंटेशन आयोिजत कया गया। कायक्रम का शुभारंभ स्वागत संबोधन, दीप प्रज्वलन, सरस्वती वंदना, कुलगीत एवं 'नज़ाकत' की प्रस्तुत से हुआ। प्राचाया प्रो. वंदना लूथरा ने वद्याथयों को गाग कॉलेज की वरासत, शैक्षणक व्यवस्था, परसर एवं उपलब्ध अवसरों से परचत कराया। इसके पश्चात छात्र परषद ने वद्याथयों को परषद, सोसाइटयों, खेल गतवधयों, छात्र सहायता तथा कैंपस जीवन की जानकारी दी। कायक्रम का समापन 'यूफनी' की प्रस्तुत एवं धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ हुआ। वभागीय ओरएंटेशन में वद्याथयों को पाठ्यक्रम, उपिस्थत, GE वषयों एवं अन्य आवश्यक शैक्षणक जानकारयों से अवगत कराया गया। वभागीय परषद, स्वयंसेवकों एवं शक्षकों ने उनका मागदशन कया तथा अंत में आयोिजत संवादात्मक प्रश्नोत्तर सत्र ने वद्याथयों को अपनी िजज्ञासाओं का समाधान प्राप्त करने तथा शक्षकों एवं वरष्ठ छात्रों से संवाद करने का अवसर प्रदान कया। कायक्रम का समापन वद्याथयों के परसर भ्रमण के साथ हुआ। campuslife du explorepage foryou freshers2026

Under the auspices of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Gargi College and Modern School, New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in environmental education, research and community engagement.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Vandana Luthra, Principal (Officiating), Gargi College, and Ms. Ambika Pant, Honorary Secretary, Board of Trustees, Modern School.

A key focus of the partnership is the Yamuna River Initiative (YaRI), promoting river literacy through experiential learning, research, storytelling and community participation.
The collaboration will further facilitate academic exchange, collaborative research, teacher capacity building, student engagement and outreach initiatives.

Proud moment for Gargi! Gargi College was honoured at the World Youth Skills Day 2026 celebrations held on 15 July 2026, organized by the World Academy of Higher Education and Development (W-AHEAD) and the Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment (IIEE). The College received the prestigious National Award for Innovation in Skill Education in recognition of its commitment to skill development. The award was received by Prof. Vandna Luthra, Principal, Gargi College. Five faculty members, including Prof. Luthra, were also individually honoured with the same award for their outstanding contributions to skill education. In addition, 10 Gargi College students received the Green Skills Champion Student Award for promoting sustainable and green skills. The awards were presented by Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, former Union Minister of Human Resource Development. Prof. Luthra was also invited to participate in the ceremonial lamp lighting. The Valedictory Ceremony of the Nivedita Summer Internship Programme (NSIP) 2026, organized by the IQAC and Saksham – The Skill Development Centre, Gargi College, marked the successful culmination of a month-long journey of learning skill development & innovation. Launched on 15 June 2026 with an inaugural lecture by Prof. Anju Shrivastava, the program engaged 142 students from 22 colleges under guidance of 14 faculty mentors. Resource persons from diverse disciplines further enriched the programme through hands-on and interactive sessions. Following the presentation of the program report by Dr. Geeta Saini, Prof. Vandna Luthra, Principal, remarked that NSIP reflects Gargi College’s commitment to nurturing skilled and socially responsible learners. Prof. Shashi Chawla, IQAC Coordinator, emphasized that the program empowered students to transform knowledge into innovation. Dr. Sudhir Verma of DDU College appreciated the mentors’ dedication and encouraged students to continue pursuing research and innovation. The ceremony concluded with distribution of certificates & vote of thanks.
