I signed a new client today and this is what I learned on the call.

The client has 350k on TikTok with 10M+ likes.

She posted lifestyle and workout content mainly.

I got on a call with her to find out that she had as little as $50 in her bank account and was earning less than $100 when she worked with brands.

Usually, I pitch influencers a deal for 50% of the company and a $1-3k deposit off them and build them a brand.

In this case, I pitched her a deal for 60% of the brand, and didn't charge her, since she was achieving upwards of 1M views on some of her videos, and had little access to capital.

We are going to test these products:
- Protein powder
- Leggings
- Workout shorts
- Overnight oats jar + guide

Then after we find a winner, we will build a brand around the product.

I learned two things:

Sometimes you have to pivot depending on the situation, and tweak your offer.
Sometimes people may appear to be rich due to their followers + views, but working with brands is not very fruitful, so they may not be as wealthy as they seem.

One of the new clients that we took on this month is a pharmacist, looking to build a brand around physical products.

Since signing with her a week ago, we have decided which products to test for her audience, and have sourced the products too. She will soon receive the product to assess the quality, and as soon as she is happy we will begin designing the Shopify store, and we will have our first sale shortly after going live!
