A big thank you to Dungeon Cat Gaming for allowing us to get some late practice games in before Worlds on Thursday. They stayed up late and were very welcoming. Get Nobbie's approval.

Most of you will be happy to hear, that many A-wings were brutally murdered by Jan and Kenton while Nobbie, Dan Sunderland, TMT and Josh got some warm up games in.

Lots of fun, (despite the many A-wing deaths. - Too Many!!) , looking forward to Thursday. More photos to come.

We shall all bow down to the might of the First Order as he battled in out vs Matt Anderson in a all Matt Final!

I would like to also once again thank all those that attended - especially those that travelled. After Covid-19 and the game changes, It was great to have so many people playing X-wing under the one roof.

So what next.... now that things are settling down again we look towards what the next major event could be. Currently we have not heard any news regarding events/OP kits coming direct from AMG - that, however, will not stop us!

Discussions have started for 2 possible in-person event ideas and we need you (the community) to help provide some data. I ask you all to take a couple of minutes and fill in this form:

Only 2 weeks until our Grand Championship/Worlds Invite Event. A big thank you to our sponsor (the real Geoff Sanders). Everyone will be getting a bonus hard plastic participation card! I know, I know… I can’t go past the best ship in the game - yes that’s right, it will be Ahsoka in an A-wing!

But how about the correct date on the trophy? - It's no longer 2020! - Don’t worry we got you covered - We have made up a trophy for both the main event and for day 2! This is on top of the pile of prizes as part of the kit - which include top in faction prizes, like alt dial covers, pilots and damage decks.

Day 2? What’s this, do you want to know more?

For those that do not make the top 8 cut, day 2 will be run similar to our mini event tournament - It will be a 12 point “chance encounter” - Standard format, 2 ship minimum 50 minute rounds. It will following our usual mini-tournament rules which include:
No Large base ships
No Ensnare
No Adv. Sensors
No Precog Reflexes
No Supernatural Reflexes
No duplicate chassis (must have different ships used)

Entry to the event is $45 and covers both days.

But wait! How about more prizes? Well Somenob Nobbie has arranged more Star wars Pop Figures as a lucky door giveaway. All you need to do - is pre-register (this greatly helps us arrange the correct number of tables, boards and mats) Send Somenob Nobbie a DM and confirm your rego - it will involve sending some money to the store directly, and boom - you go in the entry for more free s**t (and there are quite a few up for grabs!)

Lastly a couple of points regarding the event about what will be legal and what isn’t.

- You can use https://infinitearenas.com/ print out cards (but you must have the original cards on hand as a reference and these can be requested by your opponent)
- Objective tokens: I will allow bomb tokens to replace the objectives but be marked in such away to make it obviously different from a regular bombs either painted one side or a sticker over the bomb token.
- Any DIY home-made tokens or acrylic must be checked and confirmed with the TO before starting the event.
- ALL PAPER PRINTOUTS ARE BANNED! - Both for FO Tie Whisper bases (you MUST proxy same i # base) & for objective tokens.
- DIY print out objective tokens must be pasted on cardboard of reasonable thickness and be of reasonable quality - final decision rests with TO (I suggest everyone brings bomb tokens as backup)
- If a person has Objective tokens approved by the TO - these will take precedence over bomb tokens.
- Scenario actions are only allowed in the perform action step (this is the ships first action, and not the subsequent free actions - sorry Poe/Darth Vader)
- The event will be 5 round day 1, Top 8 Cut Day 2
- There will be no draws - while time remains, players continue until a winner is decided by VP points. If time is reached, the winner is decided by ROAD roll - First player wins.

Some juicy FFG Alt cards up for grabs this Saturday 20th. Everyone should be able to get a copy of these fine cards. (I know you ALL want those A-wing cards!).

A quick reminder for those in Brisbane, we are currently looking at organising an X-wing event on the Saturday 18th at Comic Plus (so save the date!). We will likely need to limit it to 20 people. I have not yet finalised details as I am waiting on the news from AMG tomorrow morning. Should we not see a points update, I will look at postponing this event until the end of the month. We may use the special rule set leaked today, or new hyperspace format - just have to see what happens tomorrow.

Kicking off in just under an hour, we have an awesome double header lined up tonight.

Game 1 is the semi finals of Onyx: Always Choose Violence league. Filth Tom Dobson, Khan of the North, brings a throw back of Sear Swarm to face Luke Sunol, Awings are good, Dutch is their friend, Rebel list.

The winner of this battle will go on to face Hamish Singleton from Clockwork Squadron who sits at 5-0 for this hyperspace league.

Then cause a Semi-Final match isn't enough tonight, oh no... we bring you the Final of Age of Resistance knock out!

Gerentt Chan (Singapore) has brought Jango Zam, with all the toys to defend the Singapore event from MICHAŁ KOZERA (Poland) who commands the dark lord Darth Vader, Soontir Fel & Grand Inquisitor.

We are a go for Jawathon QLD 2021! We have been offered space at the Comic Plus in Annerley who are under new owners. The place has parking around the back with additional street parking.

It will start at 10am 24/07/2021 - Saturday. 4-5 rounds depending on the numbers.
The event will be 200 points Extended.

Entry is $20 - Can be paid CASH on the day or via paypal.me/NobbieAU

All prizes are won via raffles after each round. Additional tickets can be brought on the day so please bring cash for tickets (and to bribe judges).

Just a friendly reminder everyone, we have two X-wing events lined up recently.

First one up is the Monthly X-wing Day event at BVC on the 22nd May, (This Saturday!) Kicking off at 10am. Entry is $15 and includes pizza! This time it is EXTENDED - so yes bring all your filth.
