For a better shave, soften that thick stubble with heat. A hot shower is what I recommend before shaving.

Day 3 of my @deathgripwax combo sudden death and OG wax. Sunday morning locked it in. Swimming, hot humid day. Sleeping on it. Shower and shave Monday morning. Monday another hot himid day. Slept on it again. Tuesday, shower, hot humid day, gym time and this mustache has had no additional wax applied.

I found the key was damp hairs, beard oil and balms and tightly rolling the hairs. The longer I kept it rolled the longer it would last, typically 40 minutes.
