Jerry Mitchell@JMitchellNews: On this day in 1960, U.S. marshals escorted 6-year-old Ruby Bridges into an all-white school in New Orleans. She and 3 other Black students were 1st to attend all-white elementary schools in South. Now a statue of her outside school that bears her name.
