Thank you for all of your amazing and insightful questions so far! Now we are collecting questions about all of the LGBTQ+ topics that your kids may have with expert Gary Saperstein!

Have your kids give you the questions to pass on to me with their first name and age. Leave them here, DM, or email [email protected]

About Gary:

Gary Saperstein moved to Sonoma from New York City 25 years ago. In that time he has become one of the leaders of the Gay community. Gary owns a Gay Tour and Event Company and has a radio show, "Out In The Vineyard," on our local KSVY Sonoma Radio Station, just like Cat Smith! It is the first Gay themed radio show in Sonoma Valley.

Gary believes that all people should be treated equally and that it would be boring if we were all the same. All the colors of the rainbow are beautiful and he hopes to bring that to his work and to Sonoma.

My next two guests are awaiting questions! Please comment below with questions from your kids, their first name, and age. Guests will be:

Celeste Winders of Strategic Education Advocacy: What are your questions about everything you've seen on the news recently? Are you confused by riots? Why are people chanting Black Lives Matter? Who was George Floyd? What would you like to know about racism, equality, peaceful protests, or anything else about the current situations that confuse you?

Sarah Gibson of Sonoma Valley Fire & Rescue Authority: What are the questions you have about fire season and how to be prepared? Do you wonder what a firestorm is or what it's like to be in the middle of it? Do you wonder what causes them or what a firefighter does? Anything you want to know about fires, protection, and firefighters, Sarah will have the answers!

I need all of Celeste's questions by Monday, so try to answer those first! You may hear your name on the radio!

16/06/2020

I'm editing the replay of my interview with Dr. Jerome Smith and loading it to YouTube. Look for it later today!

Who has questions?

When the pandemic hit and kids were no longer allowed to go to school, Cat Smith realized quickly that her kids had more questions about everything going on than she could possibly answer on her own. Her 5th grader was the inspiration for this new show.

“What if I gave a topic and the kids were able to ask all of the questions they have to someone who knows all of the answers?” Brilliant!

It began as a collaboration with the 5th-grade teachers of Prestwood, and now she hopes kids all over the Valley will send their questions too!

Every week, one expert is chosen to speak on a topic. For one week, Cat collects the questions and THOSE are what she uses to interview the guest! Announcing the first name and the age of each child, Cat may just say your name on the radio!
