Blackbeard, as we know, has the yami yami no mi (dark dark fruit), which is a Logia type of a devil fruit. And here's the thing: Logia users are basically overpowered as physical damage does not pe*****te their body (unless their enemies learnt Haki), and they become one with their elemental fruit. Examples which are: Smoker (smoke), Enel (lightning), Ace (fire), Crocodile (sand), Kuzan (ice), and Kizaru (light). So tell me: how does Blackbeard, a Logia user, take physical damage and experience pain? And on top of that, he doesn't even transform into or merge with darkness, unlike the aforementioned Logia users. Why is that?

And here's where the theory comes in. What if he's actually not a Logian and instead a Zoan? like Luffy, who's actually a Zoan, not a Paramecian. What's even the basis of this theory that Blackbeard's devil fruit is a Zoan type?

A theory came up long ago, and you may probably have heard of it, stating that Blackbeard actually ate the Tako Tako no Mi: Model Kraken (octopus fruit). Now let's analyze how this could be plausible.

1.) Starting from Blackbeard's flag, which has 3 skulls (3 personalities) and 8 bones, Octopuses have three hearts and eight tentacles.

2.) Octopuses do emit ink. Is Blackbeard's "yami yami no mi" just one of the octopus' attributes?

3.) Blackbeard could eat more devil fruits, which should be impossible as eating another devil fruit may cause its user to tear apart and die. How could this be possible with him? Well, Octopuses have this ability called RNA editing, which is kind of complicated but essentially they edit their RNA to diversify the proteins they make, for example when they need more nervous system proteins to endure lower temperatures, they edit it. If Blackbeard has the ability of an octopus, he could just edit his gene code to be able to eat more devil fruits.

Fun Fact: Blackbeard's current bounty is 3.996 billion berries, which can be read in kanji as san(3), ku(9), ku(9), ro(6)/san kokoro or 3 hearts in english. Which is a direct reference to an octopus, the only animal to have 3 hearts.

Warning: Spoiler Ahead ‼️

The Four Horsemen were first mentioned by Makima in Chapter 87, and this is the only time they are mentioned in the manga. The Four Horsemen are powerful devils who, along with the Weapon Devils, fought Chainsaw Man and managed to bring him to a near-death state; which is the dog form of Pochita we see at the start of the manga. The exact power level of the Horsemen was never stated.

Chainsaw Man's Four Horsemen are based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, found in Christian mythology in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 6. And their role was to lead the end of the world.

The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse also appear in order: the first horseman to appear is the horseman of Conquest (Makima the Control Devil, chapter 1), the second is the horseman of War (Yoru the War Devil, chapter 98), and the third is the horseman of Famine. If Fujimoto follows the exact same sequence, then the third horseman introduced in the latest chapter (chapter 108) should be the Famine/Hunger Devil, not the Death Devil, as many speculate. Though we don't know for sure what or how a Hunger Devil could save/resurrect a devil. Then the fourth and last to appear is the horseman of Death. Since death is a primordial fear, which means it is feared by almost every living being, it should be the strongest among the Four Horsemen. (Note that all devils are born with names, and the more those names are feared, the more powerful the devil is said to become.) So it's safe to say that Death Devil should be or is the series' final boss/antagonist.

WARNING: Spoilers Ahead ‼️

As some of you may not know, Chainsaw Man has heavy Christian symbolism.
The recent ED of Chainsaw Man EP 3 shows Makima as the Virgin Mary (a mother). What does this symbolise?

Let's start with Makima's name.
Makima's name in Chainsaw Man is actually a reference to "mother". Denji wanting the love of a mother. This was mentioned in an interview between Tatsuki Fujimoto, the author of Chainsaw Man, and Shueisha. The "ki" in Makima stands for wood or tree, and Denji is Chainsaw Man. And what do chainsaws do? They cut down trees (and so is Makima). So if you take out the "ki" character from Makima, you're left with ma and ma "mama."

And so, what does the Virgin Mary symbolize?
In Christian lore, Mary is said to be blessed to bear the son of God, Jesus Christ, while remaining pure and virgin. Makima, on the other hand, as aforementioned, is a mother. Being a mother is a direct reference to her, the Control Devil. Makima controls other devils by connecting multiple chains coming out of her womb (where babies are kept for 9 months) to her servants (children), thus controlling and rebirthing them. Just like Mary, Makima symbolically became a virgin mother.

Monkey D. Dragon was by far the most mysterious character in One Piece—leader of the Revolutionary Army, the most notorious criminal in the world, Garp's biological son, and Luffy's biological father. Yet his past is still a mystery. And recently, there's been a wild theory circulating around the internet, suggesting that he was a former marine admiral.

Claim #1: Because he was Garp's biological son. Garp always forced his grandson to become a marine, so there's no way Garp doesn't force his son Dragon to be one.

Claim #2: The names of the previous three Marine Admirals, Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji, were taken from the four animals of Chinese Mythology that guard the Oceans.*

The northern sea is guarded by the Yellow Monkey ( Kizaru ), the southern sea by the Blue Pheasant ( Aokiji ), the west sea is guarded by the Red Dog ( Akainu ) and the eastern sea should be guarded by the White Dragon.*

Claim #3: A mythology about an Evil King who has four followers: a bird ( Aokiji ), a dog ( Akainu ), a monkey ( Kizaru ) and a dragon ( ? ). The Dragon realized how evil his king was, so it stopped serving them. The Bird left shortly after, but the Dog was too loyal and the Monkey was too stupid. The Bird was too lazy to do anything, and the Dragon went missing.*

If this were only true, then the theories would sound epic, but upon further research, it was just a messed up theory. Okay, so we're going to debunk the claims and theories stated here.

1. The references stated here are wrong. They are actually four different mythological stories just mixed up together to make up a whole nice sounding theory, which are as follows: The Tale of Momotaro, The Tale of 4 Symbols, The Tale of Sea Kings, and The Tale of the Evil King.

2. The Tale of Momotaro features a dog, a pheasant, and a monkey. There's no dragon. Though it's true that the admirals' names came from this tale.

3. As for the Tale of the 4 Symbols which are:
The Blue Dragon in the East (Kaido), the Black Tortoise in the North (Bigmom), the Red Vermilion Bird in the South (Shanks), and the White Tiger in the West (Whitebeard) are references to the original Yonko. Not a Blue Bird, a Yellow Monkey, a Red Dog, or a White Dragon.

4. The Legend of the Sea Kings, who protect the Oceans we're all about dragons, so it doesn't make sense for the theory.

5. And, as for the Tale of the Evil King, he is indeed evil and has animal followers, one of whom left him, but it was not a dragon, but a bird.
