Erik Prince of Blackwater reacted to the China-Afghanistan recent deal:

“Chinese to extract Afghan oil.

Below is the field (drilled and proven by the 1980's Soviets) that should have provided all the hydrocarbons needed by the Pentagon and Afghan civilian population for the 20 years of US efforts. Instead US "leadership" allowed the crude to sit there unused. Instead, the transport of fuels consumed by US Forces amounted to over 35% of total costs ($60B+ per year) and caused fuel costs when it finally entered an F-16 or HMMV to cost the taxpayers over $250/gallon. This is bipartisan disgusting and must never be repeated. Unfortunately all the "smart" people who made these decisions have NEVER been held to account. “
