We become what we think about most. This is the first of the Seven Universal Laws which was readily understood and applied by those who strived to master the arts taught in mystery schools throughout the world.
To grasp what is truly meant by the Law of Mentalism, one must first come to the realization that EVERYTHING we can perceive within the limits of our 5 senses is only possible when our conscious awareness is brought upon it.
The Universe and everything in it (both seen and unseen) is a form of energy that is in a constant state of vibratory motion aka (vibration).
To observe the nature of a vibratory force in a manner that is perceivable by one of the five senses, a state of consciousness capable of translating the essence of a given vibration is required. An obvious example of this would be the spectrum of light found in the rainbow. Each color contained in the spectrum of red to violet consist of a unique vibratory nature that our consciousness readily perceives and translates into what we see and label as "color". And although perceived as "color", its true nature is nothing other than energy vibrating at a frequency in the same manner that ALL energetic forces in the Universe do. EVEN the information you visualize here as a "post" is nothing but a manifestation of a bunch of computer codes grouped in such a way that our screens are able to display what our conscious observation sees as an "image".
To dig deeper, EVEN those things in which we can directly observe via the senses is limited. Our ability to manipulate or understand the nature of that which we are capable of perceiving is only possible when combined with an intellectual conscious awareness of that "thing" being observed. To add on to the computer screen example mentioned earlier, we can see the "image" of something on the screen which is the direct result of the computer code used to create it. But what about the computer code itself? The 0s and 1s and hieroglyphic looking symbols precisely organized to create what we view as a "random" image. We can view this should we consciously choose to do so. But without an understanding as to why the 0's and 1's and hieroglyphs must be organized in such a way in order to make a visual representation of that code possible, all we are observing is vibration. Without an understanding as to how the blood moves in our body and the manner in which one organ interacts with another to create this material machine in which our mental world is confined, there is nothing we can consciously do to change the nature in which our body operates. Sure we can "guess", but one wrong move or misplacement of a 0 or 1 when coding and that which was intended to be MANIFEST is suddenly UNMANIFEST either partially or completely. And THIS is where the Universal Law of Mentalism comes into play.
The ability to observe and the free will to play around with variables made available to us is in our nature. As long as we are capable of perceiving something with our senses, we are also CAPABLE of transmuting that perception into something we wish to be manifest. However, manifestation cannot happen without the use of our mental ability to consciously pursue the knowledge required to create and observe those things in which we wish to be manifest.
Only through the use of our ability to think and apply reason to knowledge acquired through conscious pursuit can we mentally create the intellectual level of understanding required to put the Universal Law of Mentalism to use.
The nature of the Universe is such that EVERYTHING in it can be understood when light of knowledge illuminates the consciousness to the extent that it may unveil the secret in which free-will and reason unlock the key of wisdom needed to raise ones vibrations to a level in which the power of thought may be used to manifest that which goes beyond the limitation of the senses.
