On July 3rd 2024, I received the most devastating phone call of my life. The hospital called me to inform me that my father has unfortunately passed away.

I have replayed that conversation over and over and over in my mind, and it still doesn’t make sense. And it still hurts as if I was in that exact moment again and again and again.

I have not been ok since then. Mentally and physically and everything in between.

I will never be ok. But my religious faith constantly reminds me that God will see me through this.

But the little girl in me doesn’t believe that one bit. And everyday she yells “I just want my daddy. He’s not here. So stop telling me I’m gonna be ok”.

Anyway….as I walk through the valley of grief, I pray to the God above to see me through it.

Rest in heaven my King.

Grief is a funny thing….the weekend was a blur.

But I decided to take a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of the hospital.

It’s been hard. A lot of tears.
