“Any judge that allows himself to be used and collect bribes and pass judgment that is not right, we want to tell him he must choose between his life and the bribe money he collected.
You have seen the conflict (banditry) in Zamfara, Kaduna, and Katsina, I swear because of this governorship seat, everyone will die. The conflict that will start in Kano will be more deadly than the ones in those states and Borno.”

Ibadan man cries out..says

'I WANT A DIVORCE BECAUSE MY WIFE BEATS ME ALL THE TIME'..

Oluwatosin Bakare, an Ibadan-based businessman, on Wednesday told an Ile-Tuntun Customary Court sitting in Mapo, Ibadan, to dissolve his seven-year-old union to his wife, Enitan, because she frequently beats him.
Bakare, who lives at Labo owo, Dugbe area of Ibadan, cited frequent battery and threat to his life as reasons for his prayers for divorce. “My refusal to make a thorough research before I eventually got married to Enitan is the reason behind my problem today.
“My lord, as soon as Enitan got into my house, she began to act strange. She challenges my authority on most issues. “ I have made efforts to correct her misbehaviour by informing our pastor, but rather than turn a new leaf, Enitan’s attitude worsened, making the pastor’s intervention ineffective.
“In October 2018, Enitan, on entering our bedroom, gave me a deafening slap as she followed it up by bringing out a knife to stab me. “I, however, managed to escape unhurt. “I can’t count the number of times she had attacked and torn my clothes in the Church and at other public gatherings.
“Sometimes, if I leave the office late, Enitan would challenge me and even beat me on getting home. “On Nov.16, 2018 Enitan attacked me with a chisel in the Church. “I stopped reporting her to her parents because they were obviously not interested in what becomes of her. “Since I married Enitan, seven years ago, she has not conceived.
And evidently, there is no more love between Enitan and I, so do separate us,” he said. The respondent, who, however, opposed the divorce, was unable to deny most of the allegations leveled against her. Enitan, a Laboratory attendant, instead submitted that her spouse was the best man to be with.
“My lord, our pastor is the problem in my marriage to Oluwatosin. “The pastor has convinced my husband to marry another woman fromhis Church. ” I noticed a change in my husband since I had a miscarriage. He refused to show any concern.
“He started coming home late and also stopped performing his roles as husband,” she said. The President of the court, Chief Henry Agbaje, requested them to provide more evidence to substantiate their claims. He adjourned the matter until April 4, and asked them to produce their relatives.

46 YEAR OLD MAN KILLED HIS PARENTS WITH A PESTLE IN NSUKKA

It was indeed a black Saturday in Aroji Mkporogwu, Iheakpu-Awka Agu in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State as a 46-year man allegedly killed his parents with pestle.
Mr. Michael Ugwuanyi, a businessman at Northern part of the country allegedly killed his father, late Michael Ugwuanyi and mother late Florence Ugwuanyi on late Saturday night with pestle over yet to be established issue.
According to a family source who pleaded anonymity, the late mother was pounding the night food in their kitchen when the son, Mr. Michael Ugwuanyi waylaid her snatched the pestle away from her and used it to hit her on the head several times.
The source said that he used the same pestle to hit his father to death.
In any case, when our reporter visited the house of late Julius Ugwuanyi at Mkporogwu to ascertain the situation, there was no person in the family.
However, in an interview with the Chairman of Iheakpu-Awka vigilante group, he narrated that “i am in my house when I got I call that the suspect, Mr. Michael Ugwuanyi allegedly used pestle to kill his parents. When I got there, I discovered that there were signs of bruises all over the heads of the parents. In fact, their skulls were completely smashed with pestle.”
Narrating further, Mr. Ugwu told our reporter that “we were informed by one nurse in the area that after allegedly killing his parents, Michael went to the nurse and informed his parents were not feeling fine; that she should come and administer some drugs on them. On getting there, the nurse noticed that they were already beaten and their heads smashed into pieces. The nurse sneaked out of the compound and notified the vigilante group who now called the attention of Divisional police headquarters, Ibagwa-Aka, Igbo-Eze South local government.”
According to Mr. Ugwu, the suspect has been arrested and taken to the Divisional police headquarters, Ibagwa-Aka for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Asked if they have had any security issue with the suspect before the present case, Mr. Ugwu said that ” this is the first time we are having some issue with him. Even his relation told us that though he seemed to be behaving somehow strange lately, he has been cool and nonviolent since we know him. Generally speaking he was known to be nonviolent and didn’t constitute any security threats in our community.”
However, another family member who also pleaded anonymity told Daily Sun that “actually what happened was that Michael Ugwuanyi wanted to use his two parents for money rituals. But unfortunately for him this couldn’t work out for him. This failed money rituals then boomeranged and affected him in the brain and he started behaving like a mad man. That Saturday night the incident happened, the suspect called his siblings in Lagos and Abuja with his mother’s phone and told them that she has been taken to the hospital while in the actual sense, he has killed both of them with pestle. May be as he couldn’t use them to make money, he has decided to kill them this time around for reasons best known him.”
The source told our reporter that at one time or the other, the community vigilante group has been notified of his strange violent action against his parents and the prompt response of the vigilante has been the saving grace of the parents for quite some time now.
However, when contacted on phone the Enugu State Police Public Relation Officer ASP Daniel Ndukwe said that the state command is not aware of the story.
He said that he will make contact with Ibagwa-Aka police Division and get back to us, which he is yet to do as at the time of this report.

WIFE BITES SLEEPING HUSBAND'S P***S IN IMO STATE
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested for biting her husband’s p***s while he was asleep at their home in Umuofuga Umuhu, Imo State.
A cousin to the victim, Udochukwu Nwimo, said trouble started when the woman’s ex boyfriend came home to take her out on a motorbike and brought her back late in the night.
Immediately she stepped in, her husband, who was angry about what happened, queried her and they started a fight. Udochukwu said that some concerned neighbours came around and separated them.
However, at midnight, there was a loud scream that woke neighbors up, only for them to discover that the woman had bitten her husband’s p***s. He was immediately taken to the hospital.
According to the cousin, the man’s manhood was deeply cut and may be damaged forever. It was alleged that the woman is a drug addict and usually fought with her husband.
Three days before the incident, the mother-of-three had flogged her husband mercilessly with a stick. The woman was later handed over to the police, who confirmed that she also sustained several bites with a deep cut on her breast.
The spokesman of the Imo State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the incident, said the husband later insisted that it was a domestic matter and that they do not want the police involved, so they handed off the matter.

ANGRY RESIDENTS KILLED AN ARMED ROBBER IN DELTA

A suspected armed robber has been lynched by an angry mob in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state while trying to rob a middle-age man of his SUV car.
It was gathered that the deceased armed robber and his gang had stormed Aroh Road in Ughelli with locally made gun on Thursday evening to rob their victim.
According to sources, the two-man robbery gang had accosted their victim to rob him of his SUV when some residents mobilised and went after them.
“They approached the driver of the SUV who was exchanging pleasantries with his neigbhour when they asked him to cooperate or be killed”, he added.
Narrating his ordeal at the hospital, the victim who gave his name as Atarhe a retiree said, “At about 4.30 pm I left my home and as I was driving, I stopped at my Christian brother’s shop to exchange pleasantries.
“Just as we were talking, before I knew it, two boys one on the passenger side and the other at the driver side, the one on the passenger side told me not to move and if I do move, he will shoot.
But because my car was still running, I moved and immediately he noticed that I disobeyed his instruction, he shot at me on my right and left hands and I struggled to drive to the police station from there, I was rushed to the hospital”. He narrated.
However, luck ran against one of the suspects as he was lynched before the arrival of the police and a locally made cut to size pistol with bullets were recovered from him while the other escaped.
Another source disclosed that after their shooting and attempt to rob the man of his SUV failed, they started shouting thief, thief and those who recognized them arrested one of them with a gun and bullet and the other escaped.
“He was shouting ‘Thief’! ‘Thief’! to divert the attention of the mob but nemesis caught up with him, he was recognised and he paid the price”, another source disclosed.

SEE HOW THE CO**SE OF AN 82 YEAR OLD MAN WAS EXHUMED AND DUMPED BY UNKNOWN PERSONS IN UMUAHIA.

Umuoriehi village in Isingwu autonomous community, Umuahia North Local Government Area, LGA, of Abia State was this morning of Saturday May 23rd, 2020 thrown into a shock as villagers woke up to behold the gory sight of the co**se of 82-year old Smart Chukwuma Isiuwa exhumed just one week after it was buried by the family.
The exhumed co**se was dropped on the ground exposing the body of the deceased which has started to decay, while the grave was also covered back by the unknown men. According to investigations, the action was carried out last night under the cover of darkness, while the children of the deceased were inside the compound fast asleep.
When newsmen visited the scene of the incident this morning, villagers and sympathisers were seen in clusters discussing in hush tones the ugly incident that took place last night in the community and the implications.
One of the sons of the late Smart Isiuwa whose co**se was exhumed, Ebere Isiuwa, was in shock when this reporter visited. He said that they woke up this morning to discover that the co**se of their father has been exhumed and the grave covered by unknown men.
He said the incident must not be unconnected to the land dispute between his father and his late brother Ezekwem Isiuwa’s children over the ownership of the compound where the late Isiuwa was buried. Ebere disclosed that his father who is a member of Jehovah witness suffered greatly in the hands of his brothers to the extent that they allegedly sold all the family lands without his knowledge.
Ebere who is also the vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Isingwu ward lamented that it was last week Thursday that the family buried his father after obtaining clearance from the government, only for enemies to come in the middle of the night to exhume the co**se and expose the co**se.
When asked his next line of action, he said he is waiting for his senior brother to return so as to rebury their father, ruling out any form of sacrifice in the process because, according to him his father is not that type but a firm believer in God.
He accused the Chairman of Umuoriehi Welfare Union, Pastor Kensmart and the leader of the community vigilante, Chief Orisa Onwwumere of being behind the plot to exhume the father’s co**se.
Investigations by NewsCritic revealed that the co**se of the late Smart Isiuwa spent over a year in the mortuary before it was finally buried quietly last week in the family compound. It was further gathered that before it was buried at the present location, there were attempt to bury him at several spaces which was resisted and that about three graves were covered after digging it.
The NewsCritic reports that Umuoriehi Isingwu has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons. For instance, only last month, one elder from the Ekpo family and his son were caught in the middle of the night burying charms in a disputed piece of land. They were apprehended and brought before the village square.
Sources disclosed that in the event that the late Smart Isiuwa is reburied at the compound the co**se will be exhumed the second time, but the children said God knows why he made them to sleep off and not to catch the perpetrators of the dastardly act because it would have been a different story now.

SEE HOW KIDNAPPERS KILLED A BOY AFTER COLLECTING 4.5MILLION IN BAUCHI.

A suspected kidnapper, 16-year-old Muhammed Jubril, has disclosed that 15-year-old Abubakar Sadiq Suleiman, his neighbour, who was abducted, was brought into their house for ransom and was killed after collecting N4.5million.
The suspect, who was paraded alongside three others yesterday at the Bauchi State Police Command Headquarters in Bauchi, added that one of the suspects, Abdulrahaman Suleiman, kidnapped and took the victim to their house, where he was alleged killed with log.
Abubakar was kidnapped on April 4, this year and a call was put through to his father, Sulaiman Auwal, a medical doctor who is also part of the frontline health workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and asked to pay N10million ransom into an account. But after negotiation, Auwal deposited the sum of N4.5million as ransom into the said account.
“We buried him in our undeveloped site behind our house. Abdulrahaman had told me that we should go and throw him away, but I said I was afraid of that. Abdulrahaman was the one who killed him with a big stick,” Jubril said, adding that he had no knowledge of the process of the kidnap, as Abdulrahaman brought the victim to his house.
When asked why Abdulrahaman killed the victim, Jubril said he didn’t know, but he suspected that the deceased must have a recognised him.
He said they used part of the ransom to purchase a Mercedes Benz E320 in Jos, but denied having knowledge of the total amount collected.
Jubril, who is a student medicine at Al-Hikmah University in Kwara State, said the victim did not in any way offend him.
But Abdulrahaman said he was not involved in the crime, as claimed by Jubril, saying that Jubril told the Police that the ransom was paid into his account, it was discovered that he never had such amount in his account after forensic audit.
“He also told them that I was the one who called for the ransom, which the Police investigated and discovered that I never made such call on my line.
“He said I drove the boy in a Keke to his house, but I never rode before.”
Another suspect, Sulaiman Jamilu, lamented that he was not part of the gang, but was still being held even after Jubril had vindicated him, insisting that he didn’t commit any offence.
However, while addressing the press, the state Commissioner of Police, Philip Maku, said when the deceased’s father reported the case, his men swung into action and arrested four suspects in connection with the crime.
He noted that the suspects had bought the car at the cost of N1, 650,000 and iPhones at the cost of N156, 000, adding: “All the suspects would be charged to court after our investigation ".

WOMAN SELLS BABY TO BUY PHONE AND WRAPPER IN IMO STATE.

The Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Imo State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old single mother, Nneka Donatus, who allegedly sold her baby girl a day after putting to bed.

Also arrested were a level 12 civil servant at the state Ministry of Women Affairs, Ujunwa Udechukwu, 40; and Nneoma Onwusereaka, 37; who allegedly conspired with the single mother to sell the baby to a couple.

The mother of the baby, who spoke to Southern City News at the command headquarters in Owerri on Thursday, confessed that she used part of the proceeds to buy a phone, wrapper and slippers for herself.

She told our correspondent that she was not ready to keep the baby girl having given birth to five children already.

She explained that while she bought a phone, wrapper and slippers for herself, she wanted to use what remained of the money to start a business.

The woman, who spoke in her native dialect, said, “I sold my baby girl for N600,000 and used N15,000 from the money to buy a phone, wrapper and slippers and transported myself back home.

“I asked Nneoma Onwusereaka and her husband, who had the balance to use it to start a business for me. I have five children already and I am separated from my former husband.”

A civil servant, who was arrested in connection with the crime, said she was rewarded with N10,000 for connecting the buyer with the seller.

The 40-year-old civil servant admitted that she made a mistake, adding that the N10,000 was paid into her account the following day.

A police source told our correspondent that while the single mother put to bed on March 28, the day old baby was sold for N600,000 on March 29 at Ezinachi in the Okigwe LGA of Imo State.

According to the police source, the mother of the woman who sold the baby reported the matter to SARS operatives after the lady returned home without the newborn baby.

The source noted that the suspects were arrested at different locations in the state after some SARS personnel, led by their Commander, Victor Godfrey, activated the operational strategies of the unit.

The source added that the suspects would be arraigned at the end of investigation.

He revealed that husband to one of the arrested suspects was in 2013 allegedly sentenced to a five-year jail term for offences relating to child trafficking.

The state Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo, explained that his command was fighting hard to ensure that child trafficking, which he considered as a serious crime against humanity, was curbed in the state.

HOW ARMED POLICEMEN 'ARRESTED' A POT OF GOAT MEAT PEPPER SOUP IN LAGOS IN 2017😂.

A housewife, Mrs Calister Ogbonna, has narrated how five policemen scaled the fence of her compound, just to arrest her husband for allegedly stealing a goat.
When the policemen couldn’t find any adult at home, they told her children that their father, Mr Sunday Ogbonna, was a thief.
They went to Sunday’s restaurant, but met his waiters. Angry, they arrested a pot of goat meat pepper soup on the fire and also proceeded to impound some electrical gadgets.
They also arrested a customer that was drinking pepper and one of the waiters. They would have made away with the pot of pepper soup, but for the quick intervention of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), at a station near to the pepper soup joint.
The DPO reminded the policemen that according to police rules and regulation, they should have booked at his station, to alert him of their presence in his jurisdiction as was the norm. The policemen failed to follow procedures. The DPO, thereafter, urged them to release the pot of pepper soup.
Although they released the pot of pepper soup, they, however, dragged the waiter and customer to their station.
When Sunday returned and heard that policemen were looking for him, he went to the station himself. He was detained and accursed of being behind some missing goats in the community.
The five policemen were said to have come from Zonal Intervention Squad, Ladegboye Base, Itumaga/ Ikorodu, working directly under the supervision of Zone II, Onikan, Lagos State. The incident occurred on October 1, 2017.
Calister said: “ I was in church when the policemen came; I got home to find my children crying. They said policemen came to look for their dad. They refused to open the house gate because we had warned them never to open doors for strangers. The policemen scaled our fence and landed in the compound.
“They told my four children that their father was a thief. That he was always stealing goats. After my children told me the story, I went to our shop. I met the policemen there.”
When Calister noticed that the policemen were determined to arrest and take her pot of pepper soup to the police station, she dashed to call the DPO. The DPO intervention led to the policemen releasing the pot of pepper soup.
Calister followed them to their station, where they ordered her to enter cell.
She said: “I begged them not to put me inside cell; rather they should put me behind the counter. They refused and angrily pushed me into the cell. I struggled with them. They put me into a cell with men.
“I was in the cell with five men. Even when I felt the urge to urinate, the policemen refused to excuse me. Last year, these same policemen came to arrest my husband over the same allegation. They claimed to have arrested a man, who told them that he used to sell stolen goats to my husband. The policemen collected money from my husband and the case was settled.”
Calister disclosed that since the incident, her husband had been buying all his goats from the market. Thus the couple was shocked, when the policemen came again this year, asking for Sunday and accusing him of the same offence.
When Sunday went to the station, his wife was released and he detained. After days in detention, Sunday was charged to court. Before then, the policemen were already allegedly asking for N100,000 before they would grant bail.
He was, however, charged to court only after the national coordinator of Network on Police Reforms in Nigeria (NOPRIN), Mr Okechukwu Nwanguma, intervened, demanding that Sunday should be granted bail or charged to court. Nwanguma told the policemen that Sunday’s fundamental rights had been breached.
Nwanguma said that after further investigations, it was discovered that Sunday, who had his restaurant within the Ogijo / Mosimi-Likosi areas of Ogun State was arrested a year and seven months ago, on the same allegation.
Nwanguma said: “Last year, the police team pressured Sunday for settlement, which he granted, strictly because he didn’t want distractions. Entering his bedroom to get the money, one of the policemen followed and seized the bag containing the money, which had over N130, 000. They also took four goats and many fowls being reared by his wife.
“On their way to the police station, somewhere in Lagos, the team shared the money, including the four goats and finally tendered only one goat as evidence at the station.”
Nwanguma further noted: “At the police station, the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) requested for another sum of N60, 000 for settlement, which the man’s wife negotiated down to N40, 000. At the end of the day, the police released him and closed the case, even when they never showed him the alleged goat seller for identification. The mater had closure.”
Surprisingly, on October 1, 2017, the same policemen came to re-arrest Sunday.
Nwanguma said: “The policemen are not interested in investigating crime, but simply hiding under the pretext of investigating crime to commit crime-to harass, intimidate and extort money from accused persons. The alleged offense of theft is bailable. The policemen sudden decision to charge Sunday to court without informing his family was not only malicious, but a ruse to cover up their criminal demands for bribe against the IGP ‘s often repeated admonition against corruption in the police and his recent bail is free campaign.”
The Zone II spokesperson, Dolapo Badmus, had earlier said that the allegations against the policemen were not true.
