GUESS WHO’S BACK?!

After a long hiatus, we are finally back with a new episode of Oscar Night Hindsight! 2023 was a bit of a long year but here’s hoping 2024 has more content and episodes in store!

I’d also like to make an announcement. Moving forward, 95% of episodes will be free and public to non-subscribers. This is due to the lack of output lately but eventually, this could change again. However, paid subscribers will still get exclusive access to future bonus episodes! (Keep in mind all episodes are intended for audiences 18+)

It’s almost time, folks!!

Just a couple of hours to go until the 2024 Academy Awards. Before the big night kicks off, here are my final predictions for some of the major awards:

I think it’s gonna be Oppenheimer’s night, mostly.
Expecting big wins for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor (go Cillian!), Best Supporting Actor (GO DOWNEY JR!!), and Best Adapted Screenplay, potentially some Sound awards as well.

Best Actress is Lily Gladstone. I adore Emma Stone in Poor Things (and won’t be upset if she wins), but this is Lily’s, through and through. Probably one of the best performances of the year.

Best Supporting Actress will probably go to Da’Vine Joy Randolph for The Holdovers. I haven’t caught that one yet but she’s won it in this category at basically every other awards show this year so she’s a lock.

Best Animated Feature is honestly a toss up between The Boy And The Heron and Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse. They’re both great films, and beautifully animated, and they’re both deserved so I’ll be happy either way.

My final prediction I’ll make is Best Original Song goes to Billie Eilish for “What Was I Made For” from Barbie (and yes, I will probably sob during the live performance of it).

Can’t wait to see how this shakes out! I’ll be updating when possible with reactions and hope everyone enjoys the show!!

We have just under a week to go until the 2024 Oscars! I will be watching as always and will provide updates and reactions whenever possible as the awards are given out.

Looking ahead, the next episode of Oscar Night Hindsight should release sometime this month, and with that, here is what we’ll be covering:

Long time no see, Oscar fans!!

So sorry for the long hiatus; 2023 was a bit much for your esteemed host and between day job nonsense and medical issues, I had to take a bit of a break. But we’re back in 2024, ready to explore more of what the Academy has decided over the years!

As such, the nominees for the 2024 Academy Awards were released today! What nominations are you excited for? What were you most surprised to see snubbed? Let me know in the comments below!

EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE rightfully swept the awards, and took home Best Picture, Director, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Original Screenplay and Editing.

Also Brendan Fraser wins BEST ACTOR
