Did I ever tell you my story about this verse?

‎لا تحزن ان الله معنا-
“Don’t be sad; indeed Allah is with us.”

Ah, what a reassuring reminder calming the wild waves of anxiety and bringing serenity to the stormy ocean of my heart. Everything settles down when I recall this verse in times of any distress…

So even though we recite the Qur’an all our lives, we don’t pay attention. Back in 2021, I was fighting with my demons on a daily basis that kept triggering my anxiety, and I was in a very bad mental state. All because my heart and soul wanted peace, and my Nafs was constantly throwing me off in the chaotic worldly life that we see around. One day, while aimlessly scrolling through my Facebook feed, I stumbled upon a recitation by Abdul Mossad, and there it was. This verse hit home for me in its glory. I had recently come back from my Dubai trip and got myself some art supplies, so I decided to paint a landscape and recite the verse on repeat. I went on and on reciting and feeling my heart beats settling down. From there on, it was my secret weapon to silence my demons. And here we are now, Alhamdulillah! Now every time I come across it, I smile like an idiot, reassured about Allah’s love and Him being with us CONSTANTLY ❤️."

“Do not be sad; Allah is with us”
The most reassuring of the verses.

June 2021, one of the hardest times of my life. Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. One fine day, I was scrolling through my Facebook and came across a video that had compilation of the recitation by Abdul Rahman Mossad, and there this verse caught my attention. That whole month I kept listening and reciting this verse as he did and even my first painting was with this verse, for reassuring my heart that even if no one else, Allah is with me. Just like He was with our beloved Nabi Pak SAW and his beloved companion Hazrat Abu Bakr while they were hiding in a cave when they were migrating as Allah commanded.

From then on, I have never felt alone. Every-time my heart ached I reminded myself this “لا تحزن إن الله معنا"

And then because Allah has quoted these words of Nabi Pak SAW in the Quran in Surah Tawbah: Aayah 40, I needed a sound that’s in the honour of Nabi Pak SAW and recited this kalaam so beautifully that I immediately added this.

Also it’s my first commission work for a very dear friend of mine who asked me for suggestions on which verse to get painted, I had to suggest this 🙈

Thinking about all the blessings that we can see and know of and the ones we can’t see and we can’t even imagine of; I can only feel Love for Allah and the remorseful guilt that comes along.

May Allah guide us all towards Him before we return to Him. Ameen ❤️
