Yu Shisan is, as always, interesting. There's so much depth and warmth in his character, which is very intriguing to watch. He may claim himself as a pl***oy, but he actually has diverse characteristics. He never deceived anyone, at least, and he is genuine in his answer. And I love that😘

He’s not the using type; he just doesn't want the forever type feeling (yet). And he makes this clear to everyone. Still, if someone falls for him (well...who wouldn't?😝), it's up to them😁

Anyone watching this drama?
Two episodes have been released so far.

But I'm wondering why I don't see much advertising for this drama? 🤔 Or did I miss something? I just saw the trailer and announcement poster only, nothing else.

I can't say how it is for now. But the trailer looks good. So, I'm saving it for some EPs to be released.
I'll watch it for Liu Xue Yi 🖤 and the genre. I loved crime-thriller, and spy series😊

Main Cast: Liu Xue Yi (as Ji Dan Yang), Peng Xiao Ran (as Pang Hong Mei)
Synopsis:
Police officer Pang Hong Mei, amid the many obstacles created by U.S. and Jiang spy agents, rescued Ji Danyang, a patriotic scientist who had returned from the United States from the enemy spy. She accompanied Ji Danyang to Lumen City to participate in the "Water Drop Project". Enemy special forces formulated a sabotage plan codenamed "Operation Rock," concentrated their forces, and tried to destroy the "Water Drop Project."

Pang Hong Mei and Ji Dan Yang fought a life-and-death battle with enemy agents in Lumen, thwarted the enemy's conspiracy, protected the "Water Drop Project", and finally achieved the expected success. The couple who went through the test of life and death, also realized their dreams and firm ideals.

So, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹 is not supposed to be the sequel of 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆?🤔

Alright! It's fine...ALP was one of the main reasons I was waiting for TLI. Another reason was to see Lusi in Xianxia drama for the first time. So I will still watch it if the story goes well...😇

ALP was adapted from the novel 𝗔𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 (Shang Gu-上古). And 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹 is adapted from 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗱 (Shen Yin-神隱), which is the sequel novel of Shang Gu. Both are written by the same author. Now, it doesn't seem like they've followed the novel completely. (For both ALP and TLI).
But I don't understand why some people are being too aggressive when ALP fans are making connections between these two dramas?!!

I mean, isn't it very obvious to make connections? Since we know (from the very beginning) that Hidden God is literally adapted from the sequel novel!
Maybe they changed several characters' names and occurrences to make this drama stand-alone and not connected to ALP. Like Yuan Qi's parents' names are Yi He and Di Juan (which are supposed to be Shang Gu and Bai Jue, according to the novel). Feng Ran's name is also changed to Feng Yuan.
But there are still connections as the corresponding character names are the same. Let's see this without mentioning the names:

Isn't it the same storyline for YuanQi in both of the dramas? So, it was OK to assume that ALP is the prequel of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹!

But now that we know it's not, let's watch this drama as a different drama. And enjoy it with its story❤️
