Who knew that deciding to approach the "cute and cool as hell girl" would become THIS? I overheard her talkin' about going to prom said "If you need a prom date, I'll go with you!". (Now THAT'S game, fellas... 🤣) She didn't think I was "thirsty", or none of the tomfoolery I was use to from what I thought was "my type"...
That was back in '96... at Coconuts in Hyde Park (now The Silver Room)! I always say jokingly that had she met me six months earlier, she would've liked me... 🤣 She got the "newly-responsible Will" who was finishing his first year of college while she was in her last year at Kenwood. She was "different" at a time where I needed "different". She didn't even run for the hills when I joked how I was a BROKE college student! Now that I think about, the youthful nights of Harold's Chicken and watchin' bootleg movies in her parents' basement are some of my FAVORITE memories of us. She still snuggles up with me the same to this day... Even after arguments! 🤣
She liked ME for who I was at a time when I was getting on the right path. I always saw who she would become... She felt safe, calm, and best of all: RIGHT! That was 27 years ago...
17 years ago, on the COLDEST DAY OF THE YEAR, she became Mrs. Woods... We've seen a lot. Been through a lot. Coached each other. Gone to war with each other. But, I am STILL as happy, proud of, and attracted to Keisha Woods! I appreciate ALL that you do. William is beyond lucky to have you as his mother. I am still lucky to have you as my wife... Happy Anniversary, Baby! Today is our day... 👑❤️👑
P.S. I still got the HOTTEST CHICK IN THE GAME wearin' my last name... 😉
Signed,
Mr. "She hasn't had a love letter in a while. What better day than today..."
