After almost two years of reviews, revisions, waiting, and not being able to say anything, we can finally announce this incredible news: T.H.E. Human Side is now live and available on Prime Video (yes, THAT Prime Video)!!!!!!!! The documentary, which started as a web series about audiophiles, hifi, and the importance of an elevated listening experience went on to win 16 international film festival awards, have its theatrical premiere at the TCL Theatres (aka Grauman’s Chinese Theatre) in Hollywood and is now poised for an even longer life worldwide. This film was a true collaborative team effort with each person bringing something truly unique and valuable to the story and production. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in the production as well to everyone who has been supporting the film thus far! 🙏

Behold the 082 integrated amplifier! This beauty was a real pleasure to spend time with - and oh, what time we spent exploring all the features and learning all about it. Here’s what I can tell you. The 082 features:
• balance control with “bypass” function
• tone controls for treble and bass w “bypass” function
• wake up volume -programmable power-up volume setting
• the ability to adjust individual inputs between +/- 9dB
• master and link on/off function for Home Theater needs and SO much more!

Another cool thing I found out is that
post-assembly, each component is subjected to an automated test with an audio analyzer, which consists of roughly 300 individual measurements! (To me, that’s pretty cool.) Each component MUST conform precisely to the reference configuration. Additionally, all the units have a burn in time at normal load non-stop for at least 5 days. If that doesn’t give you piece of mine, I don’t know what will.

The 082 is equal parts hefty and nifty and if you can get your hands on one to audition, I highly recommend that you do. 😉

Spent the day on location for today. A few super fantastico things took place, one of which was that he let me hold the remote. 😂 The second is what’s outside the frame of this photo, which I’m not allowed to show you. What I can say however, is that we cranked up nice and loud and it sounded AMAZING. And yes, this IS my favorite King’s X tune. 😉

One of the best punches you’ll ever get is from the SwitchOne by . They’re up as monitors in my studio right now as I’m mixing for the comedy series, but I find myself spending more and more time in there just listening to music for fun because these speakers sound SO GREAT! Just found out T.H.E. Human Side has been nominated for BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT OF THE YEAR by the Vegas Movie Awards and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Looking forward to seeing everyone on the red carpet and at the awards ceremony. All we can say right now is thank you to everyone who has been supporting the film, via participation, viewing, and promotionally, thank you to the committee at the Vegas Movie Awards, and we’re delighted to be included in this talented group of nominees. 🙏

It’s happeningggggg!!!!!! Got my ia255.1 amp hooked up to my newly pimped out The One reference monitors in my Las Vegas studio and oh my goodness - this combo is 🔥🔥🔥! As soon as my desk is cleaned up and I’ve done the appropriate photo-worth cable management, I will post more photos and videos, but for now, all I can say is that the minute the RSL amp hits the market, GO GET ONE! It’s pocket-sized but make no mistake, this thing is a powerhouse.

PS - the bass control on this amp is INSANE. Life changing. Cannot tell you all how excited I am about this but I hope this caption gives you a little bit of an idea!!

Taken pre-surgery but pretty sure this is what is meant when someone says they’re living in the middle of something. For me, I’m living in the middle of hifi and I had the great pleasure of filming my last unboxing video pre-procedure, which was of the CG25 reference monitors! Doc’s orders are to stay in bed so I’ll be editing the video as I can (honestly not quite there yet where I can focus without pain for longer periods of time), so please stay tuned. In the meantime, these CG25’s were amazing at the RSL private CES demo and I expect they’ll be every bit as impressive in my studio and then in my hifi system. 💜

Today’s the day. Checked in, admitted, in my room, found out my procedure may be moved forward by a bit and my hospital gown and socks are green in time for St Patrick’s Day. Okay Dr. R, LET’S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! (But really, now, just waiting for my transport person to come collect me. In the meantime, I’ll be here on social media hahah.)

After two and a half weeks working in Vegas, my first Sunday morning back at the house in LA is spent with coffee and my system. For this morning, I dug out my copy of John Williams and Andre Previn Guitar Concerto. Released in 1973 by Columbia Masterworks, my album still has the plastic wrap on it (I guess you could say vinyl on vinyl haha). A soothing, yet energetic collection of beautifully performed and orchestrated classical guitar. This morning, I get to drink in how my Oso Loudspeakers convey the roundness of classical guitar. It’s truly a dream to go through instrument by instrument and hear how my Oso’s preserve authenticity. It’s a most high compliment that every time I turn my system on, Victoria makes a beeline to sit by the speakers. After two and a half weeks of no system, this is catharsis to the MAX. Tomorrow, I begin production on a new documentary series I’m directing and on of our Executive Producers arrives tonight so I’m soaking in all the music I can today. 💜
