Apologies for the lack of activity on here

But like a pigeon wedged in a chimney breast, 2020’s general sootiness has limited, but by no means extinguished Cul de sac’s movements - i.e. there has been some room for some flapping about

Come to think of it the combination of any type of poultry and breast within walking distance of a kitchen sounds relatively appealing at this stage, think my family Christmas turkey’s currently either expatriated itself to Madeira (bet they don’t eat turkey there) or is being held up somewhere along the North Circular. Plenty of pigeons about though, that’s about the only thing in life that seems to remain a constant, chimneyed or un-chimneyed. Tom Semple’s got a good story about a pigeon and a chimney - we’ll make sure to get that in somewhere in the coming weeks.

One other constant though has been EHFM’s generosity in having us on for the last year and a bit now. As such, we will be back in the very early new year, plans for some new recording equipment to bring us all back under the same airwave are being made, and some interviews are being arranged!

Entracte Twist

been hugely enjoying this band recently

their self-titled album released in Jan 2019 by Requiem Pour Un Twister is gorgeous, French speaking ‘77 post-punk infused rock’n roll

entracte twist translates roughly as “a twisting intermission”, a hint towards their suburban routes beyond Paris’ encircling Périphérique, whilst wiry palm trees curtain call the Tetris-like cladding of Cité Michelet (Paris’ largest housing complex) from the likes of which this album comes...also in model form if you’re stuck for things to do atm

We’re back on EH-FM 12-2 today i.e. now!

No talk today though unfortunately due to a continuing feud/legal battle with British Cycling after Sam’s apparently dubious claim a couple weeks back of his receipt of Yorkshire’s 2016 ‘Best bike mechanic award’.

What a trip to ikea this was

Harry Noone ended up making quite an extravagant impulse buy on a 20ft stand alone lamp

I came away with various samples of tique flooring to add to my scrapbook

and Tom Semple found Cheap Teeth playing in a rather shabby looking bathroom section on the first floor of the Edinburgh branch

they’ll busk anywhere those guys

Meanwhile, Sam Cooper hasn’t been seen since our visit - rumour has it he’s now working in the ikea main foyer, providing complimentary mobility scooter services to elderly customers after claiming he won Yorkshire’s best bike mechanic in 2016.
