👀 There’s a common misconception in the real estate industry that needs to be cleared up. Many people use the term “REALTOR” to describe any licensed real estate agent, but in reality, it’s a term used exclusively for members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
👥 As a member of the NAR, a REALTOR® agrees to uphold a strict code of ethics that goes beyond what’s legally required of licensed real estate agents. They pledge to provide fair and honest treatment to all parties in a transaction, to protect and promote their clients’ interests, and to cooperate with other real estate professionals to ensure a smooth transaction.
💡 Remember, not all real estate agents are REALTORS® and not all REALTORS® are real estate agents. 🤯

The Ross Roe Legacy
In this powerful episode, we dive into the impact that Steves father (Mr. Ross Roe) had not only on him and his family, but on our Grants Pass community.
In 1983, the Roe family sold their Michigan car dealership, moved across the country and started Roe Motors in Grants Pass, Oregon. In 1990, Mr. Roe started the Josephine County Tree Plant where over 23,000 youth planted over 100,000 trees on Josephine County land. Mr. Roe also wrote the monthly back page of the Sneak Preview with articles about local events, a tradition that Steve now continues. At their Brookings, Oregon condo, Mr. Roe made a trail to the ocean for condo residents which is now known as the "Ross Roe Trail." Mr. Roe volunteered in many community organizations such as the Bethany Presbyterian Church choir, Rogue Valley Symphony, and the RASCALS/Computer Bugs. His tireless energy and enthusiasm for the community was well-known in every community he lived in and Steve continues thats legacy today.

As a buyer, offering a lot of earnest money can be a good thing however there are important caveats to know before committing such a big amount of "good faith funds" Same goes on the seller side... not enough earnest money from the buyer can hurt you if they default on the sale for no reason but just because there is an earnest money deposit, doesnt mean that you get it if or when the buyer terminates.
