But- we took our daughter to the Train museum and we couldn’t get her out of there! She loved it so much, and I was a happy mama to experience this with her.

Every year the Mcribs comes back and Blong just HAS to have it...... this year he decided to up the game and add chitterlings to the sandwich.

Today would’ve been Benji’s 7th birthday…
June 1st, Benji passed away after complications from an emergency surgery.
The doctors went in, did the work, he returned home. It seemed like things were going good, but I knew something was off because I did not want to leave his side.
Early the next morning, he whined for Blong and I, we went to help him get back in bed and wipe him down. He looked at us, and began taking his last breaths.
I wouldn’t have believed that was going to be the last sight of my Benji. Many of you knew that Benji was my first baby, so grieving has been a rollercoaster for us.
Some days, like today, they’re a sad. Others are full of joy. Some days we laugh at Benji’s antics. Other days we cry.
The hardest part in the grief is waking up to look at him in his bed, and him not being there. All of his things still untouched. Food dishes still in their same place. A heart still mending.
Even though this is hard for us, because I made Benji as part of our family, I know he’s better than he could ever be. And I’m happy I was blessed to have him for 6 1/2 years.

We couldn't be more proud and filled with love every time we look down at our baby girl's face.
Side note: we are not posting baby girl's face on social media anytime soon. We want to enjoy her love to ourselves for now. 🥰

What have you done to balance the multiple cultures your child is born into?
Doctors appointments, errands, honey-do lists...it goes on and on preparing for baby to get here. Coffee was definitely needed.
