“Nowruz pirouz” to all our followers!

For those not in the know, Norouz is the Iranian New Year. The occasion is celebrated on the Spring Equinox — like, to the exact second!

This video features recordings from a couple of our previous episodes, one of which featured the Iranian-American comedian, Tehran Von Ghasri. He joined us to discuss the awkward Iranian Norooz tradition of Huji Firuz — hence all the blackface stuff.

51% of our Iranian audience said they could recite the Iranian national anthem perfectly — “aafarin!”. 👏👏👏

Having said that, several of those that answered, asked, “which Iranian national anthem?”.

Confused? Don’t be! We clarify (and sing!) all in our latest episode.

Ask two Iranians to sing the Iranian national anthem and you'll likely get two differing results. Also, they'll probably both be wrong. Listen to us explain why.
