There are approximately 1400 boxes of Glenn Miller archives at CU Boulder, that haven't been accessible. Now, thanks in large part to Deanna & Brewster Waddell, archivists will be cataloging, preserving a managing this major collection of big band and swing music. Check out the article to learn more.

CU Boulder’s vast and historically valuable Glenn Miller collection is set to take the spotlight, thanks to a philanthropy-funded archiving project. Miller attended CU Boulder before becoming one of the most successful big band musicians of the 20th century.

Congratulations to Keith Waters & Scott Sawyer on their recent release of "night songs" funded in part through a Pathways To Jazz grant they received in 2022. Check out this nice article about the release.

Congratulations to Yuhan Su on her new release Liberated Gesture! Yuhan won the Pathways To Jazz grant in 2022: https://pathwaystojazz.com/Yuhan-Su.php

New Release: New York-based vibraphonist Yuhan Su, a Taiwanese native, has built a reputation as “among the most prominent contemporary voices” (Jazziz) on her instrument. Liberated Gesture, her second release for Sunnyside (and fourth album overall), follows up City Animals from 2018 with a new set of original compositions, a new band of heavyweights and a renewed outlook on art and possibility. Joined by altoist Caroline Davis, pianist Matt Mitchell, bassist Marty Kenney and drummer Dan Weiss, Su brings to life an ambitious set of music with the common theme of finding freedom. Available to purchase/stream today (11/10)! https://yuhansu.bandcamp.com/album/liberated-gesture

Sean McGowan's Pathways To Jazz CD Union Station made Steve Chavis KUVO Jazz Don't Miss 2022 list. Congratulations!

Sorted in no particular order, these 22 selections (plus honorable mentions) from the KUVO JAZZ library (thanks to Music Director Arturo Gómez!), in my opinion, simply deserve wider recognition. Some are self-produced, some are digital release only, and some major label printings got noticed by the...
