We've been absent for a minute, but we're back! Please enjoy our newest epidose (remember, an epic dose ;) about our favorite books. This time, we enjoyed talking about how Christ truly is a shepherd over the whole earth, and knows all of us. God truly is in the details.

It's time for us to be brutally honest; life can be a struggle and is rarely ever just sunshine and roses.

As Christians, we often retreat to the scriptures when struggling. Alma 26 is one of my favorite scriptures to turn to when I need to be uplifted, but verse 12 perhaps is the most hard hitting in its message to all Christians.

We as mere mortals are NOTHING without GOD.

If you read the scriptures with that sentence in mind, you will begin to see the loving reality of it:

Noah would've been lost in the flood had God not ordered him to build an ark.

Moses and the Israelites may have never left Egypt had God not saved them over and over again.

Joseph would have died, his family never been saved, nor all of Egypt from the famine had God not divinely pathed his path.

Nephi would have been killed by his brothers if God had not softened their hearts.

Daniel would have never survived the Lions den if God had not given him faith.

Alma the younger would not have preached the gospel and converted so many unto it if God had not shown him the truth. The same goes from Saul (Paul).

I could go on and on because the scriptures provide countless witness to the fact that God is not only our glory, but our strength, our hope, our beacon of light in times of trouble and our lifting arms in times of need. We do not need to fear anything in this world, including whatever may ail us today because we may be nothing, but our God? Gosh golly, our God is EVERYTHING!

Happy ! When we have faith, there are no limits to the miracles that God can achieve in our lives! The scriptures are filled with miracles and so are our own lives! What is your favorite miracle either from the scriptures or your own experience?
