This man inherited reserves of $33bn in May 2023.

- Managed to pay an inherited backlog of $7bn

- Managed to clear ways and means debt

- Managed to reduce debt service ratio from 97% to 64%

And still managed to get the reserves to $37bn all after 17months.

President Tinubu always takes the hard road, but ultimately, the right way.

Those who think they are taking a dig at the President have been gloating. Their usual refrain is that the man they said built Lagos should build Nigeria for them to see. As Governor of Lagos, the President reformed governance and set the state on the path of irreversible progress.

President Tinubu has never claimed he did it alone or discounted the contributions of others who led the state before him. Some of the landmark projects he started are still standing, and the plans and vision he articulated are still being implemented till today. We talk about the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Complex at the Lekki Free Trade Zone and the transformation that has taken place within the Lagos economy in the last twenty years, and you think about Bola Tinubu, who engineered them.

Leadership is about fixing today's problems and thinking ahead for years. The good thing is Tinubu did not accomplish all he did in Lagos within a year. The new Lagos metro Red Line being test-run is a product of his visionary leadership, just like the Blue Line, which has carried over two million passengers in the last two years.

No sane person can argue against the considerable progress governance has delivered to Lagos State since 1999. Just last week in China, the state, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Finance Incorporated, inked a new deal on the 68-kilometre Lagos Green Line Metro that will move from Ibeju-Lekki to join the Blue Line at Marina. That is another great leap forward: how progressive societies are built from generation to generation.

As Governor of Lagos State, President Tinubu faced numerous challenges. Many wrote him off within his first year in office. However, like a Phoenix, he rose to these challenges as a statesman. This President does not shy away from challenges. He works tirelessly to overcome and prevail. He understands there are no easy choices to make. He has made it clear that he will make the right and intricate decisions for the country, even if those decisions are unpopular. And he has indeed made the right choices that will deliver significant gains for the country and its people.

*NIGERIANS THINK*

*NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN*

DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN NIGERIA?

Let me explain in a layman language so that some protesters can understand

Nigeria has been exporting crude oil for many years. This is due to the fact that the corrupt oligarchs in the country have ensured that our local refineries are not functioning or dilapidated. They have built private refineries over the world with the billions they have stolen while in government so they simply export our crude to those places for processing in other materials such as petrol, diesel etc. They now import them back to Nigeria as finished products. The foreign exchange will definitely affect the prices of these goods so in order to ensure they are not too expensive, Government introduced " Subsidy", which means Nigeria is paying so the prices will not be expensive. Some of these guys have devised a mean of defrauding government under the pretext of bringing in these finished material thus the " subsidy scam", was born. Several fictitious oil companies were created and government have continued to pay them. With the removal of subsidy, they will have to sell at international rate and this will be expensive. In a way, those con men ripping Nigeria can no longer benefit from a scam through which they have made billions, thus they are bent on frustrating government to bring back subsidy. The fundamental questions here are;

1- Will government pay subsidy if our refineries are working?

2- Why should we even export crude oil only to bring them back to Nigeria as finished products?

3- Don't we know that if the price of fuel is high, it will affect the prices of every other products?

Why are these people frustrating Dangote because he built a refinery here? the answer is simple, Dangote will spoil their business, the only way they can function is if government continue to pay subsidy which they always share.

By importing fuel, the demand for dollar will increase thereby negatively affecting the exchange rate.

By removing subsidy, Tinubu has waged war against the cabal controlling the economy so hardship is inevitable.

FG must start arresting all religious leaders using their platform to disparage Government and inciting the people.

The pulpit is not a platform to preach hatred, but a platform to pray, to preach good news, to preach encouraging sermon and renewed hope to the people.

It’s sad that some religious leaders who are responsible for the rate of poverty in Nigeria are using their platform to blackmail and incite the people against the government thereby turning into lawless and rebellious citizens.

That must stop because it’s no longer acceptable.

Lagos will not take this rubbish again from enemies of Nigeria, we say no to protest

Reno Omokri wrote:

Before you allow them deceive you into thinking Nigeria's situation is like Kenya's and protests are the only answer, do consider the following:

1.The minimum wage has been raised to ₦70,000
2.Local Governments now have autonomy
3.Fuel importation reduced by 51.4%
4.The Federal Government facilitated a Nigerian carrier, Air Peace, to secure daily direct flights to London, which crashed ticket prices on that route
5.The Nigerian government facilitated with Meta to enable Nigerian content creators to monetise their content on Facebook beginning in June 2024
6.Ended passport scarcity and waiting time for passport application, renewal and collection shorted to less than two weeks
7.2023 Electricity Bill signed into Law to end federal monopoly in the power sector and empower states and the private sector to generate, distribute and transmit power.
8.The Federal Government has initiated and begun payment of the ₦50,000 Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme to nano businesses.
9.The Federal Government has initiated and begun payment of student loans.
10.Every state in Nigeria had been getting a minimum of 45% more than they were getting under Buhari. Nasarawa gets almost 100% more and Anambra receives 70% more, whereas their wage bill has not increased.

Meanwhile, if the Federal Government has done the above, what has your state government done with the extra 45% allocation they have been receiving? Your challenge is at the local level, not the national level.

Dear Patriots of our Great country (NIGERIA), do not be swayed by the antics of the enemies of our Great country.

Prior to the victory of our President at the 2023 general election, there was endsars, cashless policy, currency change, propaganda and various attacks against his personality yet he triumphed.

Various economic sabotaging acts like arbitrary increase in prices of goods and services, sabotaging security services, false accusations etcetera just to bring down the current government, all futile because whom God uplift no one can bring down.

The task of restoring Nigeria's GREATNESS, growth and development is on a positive path economically and in all sector of the country which requires collective effort and understanding and not that of government alone.

We haven't gotten over the ruins, destruction, wreckages, distress, loss CAUSED by the ENDSARS protests. If it's by protest and fight, the UNITED NATION ORGANIZATION wouldn't have hold the world together after the failure of league of nation.

There are so many productive and progressive ways of engaging government or one another if the intention is genuine and not orchestrated by aggression of hating the president or the ruling PARTY or setting the country into chaos so plunging the masses into more hardship and suffering.

For many of us who have nowhere to run to, this is the time to protect our beloved country, inform your family and friends not to engage in any anti government protests instead let's come together to proffer solutions to our current economic crisis.

Those who are farming the ember of violence have ways and means to leave the country if the worst happens.

If there is a place called GREATNESS, NIGERIA is going there

I am a Nigerian

I believe in the Nigeria spirit.

*MIKHAIL GORBACHEV, THE LAST SOVIET LEADER WHO DIED AT THE AGE OF 92 WROTE THIS IN HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY*

In his younger days, while studying in Europe... He used to study alongside two Japanese students.

He wrote; "The 2nd World War had come to an end & Japan had been destroyed, and was facing crippling economic sanctions as well".

During the classes, these two Japanese students used to take turns to write the notes, while the other student would mend the pencil and keep it ready for use. In those days, the Japanese pencils used to be of inferior quality and the lead tip of the pencil which was very brittle, used to break frequently.

Fellow students advised them to use the far superior pencils made in England, which were not expensive either.

With tears in their eyes the Japanese students said, *"If we do not purchase and use our own products however bad they may be, then who else will buy them and how will our people and industries develop. We don't deny that we do not have good quality today, but there will definitely be a day, when the whole world will use our Japanese pencils".*

Time to think for ourselves now.

♻️The war against the subsidy mogul was successful. We have functional refineries(PH Refinery & Kaduna Refinery)in Nigeria today because of that.

The war against dollar hoarders and currency speculators is ongoing. It will end successfully Insha Allah.🙏🏿

It took a long time to stain the system, it'll also take some time to clean it up.
The truth is, that progress is being made.

Tinubu's Presidency is making a bold move. This is the best anti-corruption strategy ever.

Just give this government a little time to get things right.

Love your country and stop being Negative.

Billions Pour Into Nigeria as President Tinubu’s Reforms Start to Pay Off

Foreign investor demand for Nigerian assets and money sent home by citizens living abroad surged last month as reforms instituted by President Bola Tinubu’s administration started paying off.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said overseas remittances into the country rose to $1.3 billion in February 2024 compared to $300 million in the preceding month.

Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, the Bank’s Acting Director of Corporate Communications, disclosed in a press briefing in Abuja.

The CBN also reported a significant rise in foreign inflows in February 2024, driven by higher remittance payments from Nigerians living abroad and a spike in the purchase of naira assets by foreign portfolio investors.

She noted that foreign investors purchased over $1 billion of Nigerian assets last month, with the total portfolio flows for the early part of 2024 reaching at least $2.3 billion, compared to the $3.9 billion recorded for the whole year in 2023.

♻️My fellow country men and women, Please don't let social media deceive you, President Tinubu came at right time, he came when Nigeria needed his expertise.

He has set many policies on motion and has taken necessary decisions for the betterment of Nigeria.

Don't let online wailers distract you. Things won't get better overnight. It's a gradual process. All we have to do is to be patient and show our unwavering support to the President.

Nigerians let's be patriotic, what concern Garri, elubo, palm oil etcetera with dollar rate?

You bought a bag of sachet water at the rate of #300 per bag, you decided to sell each sachet for #50, that equals #1,000 after sales.....

You don't need anyone to tell you that you are wicked, we will point accusing fingers at the Government......

Things are hard in Nigeria because fuel subsidy has been ended, and the Naira has been floated. And the rea*on why is that Nigeria is broke. And Nigeria is broke because General Buhari borrowed more than all previous governments combined. We cannot keep borrowing to consume. Please fact-check me. If we keep borrowing, we will only pass the hardship to our children. Let us bear it now and pass prosperity to the next generation.

Many celebrities currently doing videos just want to trend. They neither understand the issues Nigeria is facing nor do they care. Others are unhappy with the result of the last election and are weaponising the current hardship to bring down the current administration. Listen, I, Reno Omokri, urge you to stand with Nigeria. Not with Tinubu. Tinubu is just a temporary occupant of A*o Rock. Whether in 2027 or 2031, he will leave one day.

We must do what India, China and South Korea did when they were in our shoes and .

•Instead of MTN, Airtel or Etisalat, use Glo
•Rather than Mercedes, Range Rover, or Honda, buy Innoson or Nord
•Fly Air Peace over Air France, KLM, or Lufthansa
•Bank with First Bank, UBA, GTBank, and Zenith over Stanbic
•Watch Channels and NTA over Multichoice DSTV
•Buy Dangote and BUA cement, and avoid Chinese brands
•Watch and buy Enyimba FC, Kano Pillars, and 3SC over Manchester United, Barcelona, PSG, and Napoli
•Buy music of Nigerian origin from streaming sites instead of downloading foreign artistes
•Patronise DAKOVA, Mai Atafo, Mudi Africa, and JADZ Couture (maker of my babanriga and agbada. Show her some love on +234 704 477 9973) over Armani, Gucci, Balenciaja, and Louis Vuitton
•Drink palm wine over champagne, Hennessy, Scotch Whiskey, and Irish Cream
•Shop with your local market woman instead of at Shoprite
•Buy and eat only made in Nigeria rice, and let Thailand eat their rice
•Consider cassava bread over bread made with foreign-grown wheat
•Buy Zinox PCs, laptops, and tablets
•Instead of Birdseye custard, Quaker oats, and Kellogg's cereals, drink akamu, pap, and ogi
•Leave KFC, and patronise Mr Bigg's, Tantalizers, and Mama Put
•Stop using Holland Wax, and imported George and wrapper. Use Kaduna textiles, a*o oke, Akwete cloth, and other local textiles
•Watch less Hollywood and Bollywood movies, and go for Nollywood and Kannywood
•Holiday and honeymoon in Obudu Cattle Ranch, Yankari Games Reserve, Ikogosi Warm Springs, and attend Argungu Fishing Festival
•Reject imported frozen fish, meat and dairy products and buy fresh produce from local producers

Nobody is coming to save Nigeria. It is only Nigerians that will save Nigeria. Local brands may or may not be as good as foreign ones, but with continued patronage, they will improve in quality. Buy them, and your Naira will rise along with your personal happiness and the international rating of the green Nigerian passport. Your value is tied to Nigeria's value. Buy Nigerian and Nigeria's foreign reserves, trade balances, and debt to GDP ratio will automatically improve.
