Controversial Explanation for How Racism Was Invented.

Racism Originated to Justify Enslavement of Africans....

Just as the slaveholders of ancient Greece and Rome created an ideology that their barbaric slave system was “natural,” so did the European and Arab enslavers of the Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Saharan "slave" trades.

There was one important difference. According to them, slavery was “natural” because of race. Africans were not human beings, and, therefore, they were born to be enslaved.

Historian Eric Williams writes in his book Capitalism and Slavery, “Slavery was not born of racism; rather, racism was the consequence of slavery.”

Marxist writer CLR James wrote, “The conception of dividing people by race begins with the slave trade. This thing was so shocking, so opposed to all the conceptions of society which religion and philosophers had … that the only justification by which humanity could face it was to divide people into races and decide that the Africans were an inferior race.”

European scholars knew that Black people were not inferior to them, yet they created and perpetuated that myth in order to justify slavery so they could use our free labour as the economic engine to create their rancid nations. They had to convince poor non-slave owning white people that they were better than Blacks and Blacks that they were inferior to whites in order to perpetuate the social order of racism white supremacy

map showing legal systems and traditions adopted in African states. With so many investment opportunities and economic activities springing up in Africa, many investors outside and within the continent have shown interest . However, many of them are worried about the security of their investment. They would like to see judicial systems that would fairly protect their interest.

12. Last week's judicial decisions in Nigeria and Tunisia, as well as many signs of independent courts across the continent in recent years would go a long way to attract investment to Africa. Investors must be reassured that their hard-earned resources would not be subject to the political whims of overly powerful politicians.

13. Even though the executive continues to appoint judges and other critical human resources to the respective justice systems, any country that wants to experience economic development and transformation must leave the courts to interpret the laws without interference.

Mapped: Meat Consumption by Country and Type: Meat is always on the menu in many parts of the , as we can see when we map out meat consumption by country. How do countries differ in how much, and what type of meat, they eat? In this colorful graphic, creator theWORLDMAPS highlights the most consumed type of meat in every country in the world, using from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Each color denotes a different category of meat— , , , , , or other—with annual consumption calculated per capita in kilograms (kg).

Let’s dig in to the data.

Is Fish Considered Meat?

Since meat is normally defined as the flesh of any animal (with the primary components being water, fat, and protein), that includes fish and other seafood.

But whether fish is considered “meat” or not depends a lot on cultural practices and dietary preferences, and has varied throughout history. Some earlier definitions of meat focused only on mammals, for example.

In Christianity for example, many denominations allow eating fish on fasting days when abstaining from meat. This was both due to distinctions between meat from warm-blooded land animals and cold-blooded animals (like fish), as well as the importance of fish consumption in parts of where Christianity flourished.

To account for both sides of the debate, we’ll cover meat consumption by country both with and without fish and seafood.

The Most Consumed Meat by Country (Including Seafood)

Just by glancing at the map and the below table, poultry stands out as the most popular meat by weight consumption in 70 countries, or about 40% of the entire database.

The recently released report by McKinsey & Company on reimagining economic growth in Africa offers a wealth of valuable insights and analyses. However, one aspect that I believe received insufficient attention in the report is the positioning and integration of different clusters of countries, particularly in relation to their global market geography.

One striking observation is that almost all African countries bordering the Indian Ocean and those supplied through it have experienced strong and consistent growth over the past two decades. In contrast, other regions in Africa have had a more varied track record of economic performance (the graphic's limited scope up to 2019 also fails to capture the present security challenges in the Sahel, which have severely hindered economic growth in those countries).

To leverage their natural advantages of proximity to India, China, and the Gulf, it is crucial for East African nations to continue leading the way in reducing restrictions on the flow of labor and goods. With this in place, there is no doubt that the region will continue to drive the continent forward.

Kenyan President William Ruto discusses his ascent to power, his nation's position on the conflict in Ukraine, and how Kenya's democracy has stabilised with CNN anchor Fareed Zakaria.

Ruto said in the interview conducted while he was in France last month that Kenya's democracy was on display during the Supreme Court's decision on the disputed presidential results.

"Two items. Kenya's democracy is developing. And people now recognise that our country is a democracy and that they have the last word," he remarked.

Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr., the daughter of Serena Williams, has once again made history!

Olympia is already a two-time sports owner at the age of five! Williams and Alexis Ohanian Sr.'s daughter made headlines when she and her parents invested in the women's football team Angel City FC when she was only two years old.

Now that Olympia is a part-owner of The Los Angeles Golf Club, the inaugural team in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's envisioned tech-infused golf league, TGL, she can add a new accomplishment to her already impressive résumé. Congratulations to the proponent. Industrialization of Africa

Africa is a region of great potential, which has caught the attention of many global powers. To create an economic revolution and stimulate growth, African governments must invest in education, infrastructure and remove obstacles to entrepreneurship. By doing so, they can foster the entrepreneurial spirit among young Africans and provide them with access to financing. This way Africa will have a chance to become a major competitor on the world stage.

The Rwandan government has announced that Paul Rusesabagina, an outspoken critic of President Paul Kagame and star of the hit film "Hotel Rwanda", is set to be released from jail.

Rusesabagina was arrested in September 2021 on terrorism charges, but the government's spokesman Alain Mukuralinda has stated that all procedures were followed and that Rusesabagina is being released due to the law allowing it.

The news comes a day after President Paul Kagame left Qatar, where he had signalled his government was looking for ways to resolve the case that has been a cause of concern for the West and rights campaigners.
