Hola from Pacific Mexico 👋🏻

For those new here, we are Becka and Zach, and this is our home and sailing boat, Teulu. We left the U.K. 2 and a half years ago on an adventure of a lifetime, and since then we have sailed 8000+ nautical miles and have visited 19 countries. It’s not all been plain sailing, but it’s been a wild ride, and one that feels like it’s only just getting started.

We recently left the marina in the South, where we spent the summer refitting, and now we are off, into the big blue, looking for freediving and surf spots throughout Mexico as we make our way to Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest next year.

There’s still a few more refit videos to come on YouTube, but soon, you’ll watch us untie the lines again and discover the pure joy that is living on the ocean 🌊

Hi Tribe,

We are closing in on an incredibly busy, but rewarding summer here in Mexico, refitting Teulu.

We are currently staying in a very ‘rustic’ room near the marina whilst Teulu is on the hard, and its other residents are scorpions 🫣😅 and so we really want to crack through the jobs on the hard and get back to our Teulu, ASAP. Because of this, there will be no video this week, but, please hang tight as soon there will be some very exciting videos coming up, and fingers crossed, if the splash goes well and the weathers right, we might *finally* be sailing again next week.

We threw out rulebook for this one, as we set about designing and building the inital structure for our new hard dodger. Until now, we haven't had any protection over the companionway, but with our sights set on Alaska next year, its time to add a bit more shelter in the cockpit. Instead of sticking to traditional straight lines and safe angles, we went 'jazzy', as Becka put it - and discovered that in design, with risk, comes reward.
