At the meeting tonight the cadets decided on a wreath to honor Emily. It will be placed at the High School until the funeral arrangements are made. The cadets also want to make a video of her from Military Ball, competitions and other things. So any pictures or videos would be appreciated. Donations are being taken up for the wreath from Lairs Flower Shop.

Additionally an account has been set up at Monticello Bank for the Mateo family. Contributions can be given at the WCHS Library or deposited at Monticello Bank.

There will be a meeting tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. at the JROTC building to discuss a memorial for Emily Francisco-Mateo who lost her life this weekend in a fatal car accident. Also for Channing Creech and Alvin Hancock who lost their Mom over the weekend. If you can't make it and would like to make a donation to help you can get ahold of 1SG or Mr. Sands at the JROTC building.

"Some people come onto our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same."

Even in the saddest of times, we are reminded why JROTC is so special. It's not just a program, but a family. While we mourn the loss of these so dear to us, let us also cherish and honor their memory. They will forever be missed ❤️

ATTENTION ALL CADETS/PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

The Tenderloin Sale is quickly approaching. That being said, there are several cadets that have not brought in the items assigned to them. Each LET level was assigned a food or drink item to bring in.

LET 1: Drinks
LET 2: Chips
LET 3&4: Snack cakes

Let's get these items brought in and get ready to sell some tenderloin!

Big thanks to all the parents that came out for the Booster Club meeting! October will be here before we know it so it's time to get busy! ☺️
I just wanted to give a little update so you can see what we will need and who is taking care of what. We have a goal of 500 tenderloin to sale. JROTC will be buying the tenderloin. The cadets will be split up by grade levels and will be bringing in the chips, snack cakes & drinks. The other items will be handled by us! We can keep in contact through this page or via text. My number is 606-278-5209. Just shoot me a message with any questions, comments or items donated!

I will be taking care of the buns.

Rose will be taking care of the napkins, bags & wraps.

Becky will be taking care of the water from Monticello Bank.

Amy will be talking to Modern Vending.

Shiann will be taking care of the water from BB&T.

Mrs. Kidd will be donating chips.

All help and ideas are much appreciated! Thank you all.
