This is Marion A. Ross’s Medal of Honor on display at the Champaign County Historical Society Museum in Urbana, Ohio. This is a wonderful example of the 1863 Medal of Honor design.
The first episode will be on the history of the Medal of Honor. The highest military award in the United States. Listen in to find out how Marion Ross qualified for the Medal of Honor and how complicated the Medal is to research.
I’m aware this is a weird time to do this topic but I recorded most of the episode before Wednesday. I hope maybe this episode can be a reminder of what the US is supposed to be.
Premiering January 15th.
