Writers wanted - Welcome to Blount and Beyond. A free monthly online magazine written by our readers. We are excited to share our stories and photos across the country.
Send us only your article, photos, and recipes! We are not a paying market but we have a small following of about 7,000 readers from all 50 states and 14 countries. Your articles will be read and enjoyed.
Your work will be accepted or rejected by our editors, we do not allow anything political and you must remember this is a family magazine, my own grandkids read it so ALL articles MUST be family friendly.
Please edit your work, as all articles are published verbatim. We look forward to reading your articles and we seldom turn any article down as long as it does not contain political stories and is family friendly. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer compensation for your labor. Our magazine is a labor of love.
As long as you own the rights to your article and any photos you send in we will let you know within two weeks when your article will be published, usually within two months.
We acknowledge that the time, talent, and energy you pour into your writing is valuable and we do want to share it with our readers. We are aware that “not a paying market” does not appeal to a lot of writers but keep in mind this magazine will get your name out there, and if you are an author we will be happy to share your book review with our readers
We’d like to pay our contributors, but when you have nothing coming in there is no way to pay, I personally pay the monthly web host which I do not mind doing.
Since we cannot offer cash for your article, publication in our magazine offers you invaluable benefits: Your name and bio being published in our online magazine, you will get feedback from our readers, we will add your articles and bio to our page so our followers can find your articles and other things you have written. There’s a chance one of readers might make a comment or give it a like.
So, send us your articles, just keep in mind we are not a paying market. We want your work and believe our magazine will help you build a platform. At the least it will bring a smile to our readers faces and is that not why most of us write anyway, to share with others?

As you all know Blount and Beyond is a free online magazine and since we do not charge, we cannot pay. In 2025 I want to start a cooking corner and would need at least one recipe for each month, if you would be willing to share your favorite recipe for one or more of the months, please let me know. I have a service dog, as most of you know, I plan to have a section on our pets in the October edition of Blount and Beyond. Sagan is going to write an article about his journey to becoming a service dog, I will type it for him.
