Here are three of the BEST high-yield savings accounts of 2024:

Now, real quick, what exactly is a high-yield savings account?

Well, put simply, a high-yield savings account is just a type of savings account that typically offers a much higher interest rate than traditional savings accounts.

So, right now, many online banks are offering annual percentage yields (APYs) on their savings accounts of around 4%.

And this is pretty good considering the fact that most traditional savings accounts these days pay next to nothing in interest.

So yeah, here are three of the best high-yield savings accounts, in my opinion. All of the banks offering these accounts are FDIC-insured, and the APYs are accurate as of the time this post was written.

In no particular order, coming in at number three on this list is the Capital One 360 Performance Savings account with an APY of 4.25%.

At number two, we have the American Express High-Yield Savings Account, also with an APY of 4.25%.

And coming in at number one is the Marcus Online Savings Account with an APY of 4.40%.

Ramsey Solutions conducted a research study of millionaires with over 10,000 U.S. millionaires around the beginning of 2018. It’s called The National Study of Millionaires. Here are some of the results from that study:

First, 8 out of 10 millionaires invested in their company’s 401(k) plan, and 3 out of 4 also invested outside of company plans. So for most of the millionaires surveyed, long-term investing was one of the big reasons for their financial success.

Second, 94% of the millionaires said that they live on less than they make.

Third, nearly 75% of the millionaires have never carried a credit card balance in their lives.

Fourth, 79% of the millionaires did not receive any inheritance at all, and only 3% received an inheritance of $1 million or more. This means that the vast majority of these millionaires are self-made millionaires.

Fifth, not a single one of the millionaires said that single-stock investing was a big factor in their financial success.

And sixth, 88% of the millionaires graduated from college.
